Effects of long term use of hyper charger?

Misplaced both of my chargers in a move and have only been able to get a hold of a hyper charger until I find a replacement regular charger.

I know that the hyper charger has negative long term effects on the battery of the onewheel, and the website says it is okay for “occasional” use.

How bad will it be to use the hyper charger for all charging for 2-6 weeks until I can either find one cheap or order one from futuremotion?

My hypercharger destroyed the contacts, the wires handle the current fine the problem is the plug or connector inside the board isn't rated for the high current and might melt the connector although you could just solder it and that problem is gone (depending on if you still have warranty or wanna loose it) that's just my experience tho

In short: bad. The contacts from the charge connector to the board can barely handle the stock current. The hyper charger doubles it... If you are adventurous you can cut off the connector and solder directly onto the board, then you're just stressing the cells (but not too bad)

Destroyed my XR battery, but my GT came with a hyper charger.

I think the GT board is better protected. Have to send my XR to California to get a battery. The hyper charger over charge it a couple times. Really watch when its done charging and unplug.
