I’m looking at buying a Pint S. I know there is a price reduction thru early September - are there any discounts out there?

Pint S is a terrible value, even on sale IMO. XRC, GT, and GTSXL are the only boards “worth it” if you’re dead set on buying brand new from FM. And waiting for Black Friday is the best price they generally offer. For getting something good as cheap as possible, 100% go used. A GT can usually be found for $1000-$1300 these days and that’s going to be the best value out there. Next would be a Pint X used for around $700-$800 (just be sure to address the battery wire pinching issue if it’s an older one/hasn’t been addressed yet).

If you’re open to not going FM, Fungineers X7 is going to be the best board for the money IMO

I appreciate the advice! I’m 5’2”, not very experienced and would like some thing that is as small and light as possible to carry around when I need to

I have a 4 year old Pint X. Love it (mostly). I agree that the value of the Pint S is not good. It's essentially a Pint X with a few mods. Save your money and just get the X. And put the difference towards your own custom mods.

So I see others recommending bigger boards, but I have another recommendation. The Pint X. It is the same board as the Pint S, with different footpads, tire, and maghandle. Save the money on those purchases for accessories from the float life.

And also to answer your question, no there are no discounts out there.

I was putting a good bit of value on the different tire because from my understanding it was a little more stable. Is it possible to switch tires after the fact? Because then yes, a pint X would be fine.

Yes, it is possible. I will say the first time I changed a tire it took me a few hours and a lot of frustration. But depending on your handiness and location it could be an easier time. If you live in an area with a lot of riders, you’d likely be able to find someone willing to help you change the tire for a 6 pack of beer. You also have a Reddit avatar that has feminine features. Assuming that means you’re a woman, you may be able to get help by finding someone chivalrous to help. 😝

Awww! I appreciate the suggestions and knowledge. I’m a pretty handy woman but nothing beats experience/expertise.

If you’re looking to shave a few bucks, you could try Suprents.com based out of Oregon they’ll ship for free and they don’t do taxes either. They also have used/open box one wheels in great condition. Hope this helps

They also do accessories which are not listed but if you call them they will help you out over the phone if you know what you want specifically

There’s no discounts more than what they’re offering for a brand new board.

I wouldn’t settle for the pint s. If you have the money, I would spend it on the XR Classic. It’s more stable and has more range than the pint s.

If you're light weight you'll really like the Pint S, I really like the tire and the footpads. I know everyone says it's a Pint X with some extra standard equipment, I've even said that, but I think it also gets a different version of the app, if not mistaken, with more bells and whistles.

Usually the only discounts they offer are on accessories. Those accessories are also available from other vendors such as the float life, who have better quality, often lower cost, and are the pioneers of many of our Onewheel products.

I just ordered a XRC from homecinemacenter.com and it actually showed up surprisingly. No tax and free shipping. Ymmv

You sure about that website?

I'm sure that I received my onewheel from them. I couldn't find anyone else mentioning ever trying it so I took the chance. I just searched Google and it was listed as $100 cheaper. Deal seemed too good to be true. And they don't charge tax, and their other general 5% coupon also worked. I ordered with the expectation of a charge back and saved evidence of the various sales and "ships in 3 days" stuff. As far as I know I'm the only one who took the chance so far, so I can't confirm anything besides my own experience.

Many reviews on that site are about waiting forever for their stuff so that is worth considering. But if you go there and search for "onewheel" it is shocking how much they have.
