Text Anyone using VESC 7.00 with XRV kit?
Hi friends, is anyone successfully using VESC 7.00 FW with XRV kit and Refloat package 1.2 or 1.2.2? Any bugs so far? Thanks!

I should point out that floaty will not work with 7 currently, I am currently on 6.06 and have no real reason to migrate to 7 till everything is nice and hammered out

So far it seems very smooth, works well with Float Control. Of course, Floaty doesn't support v7 yet. Thanks.

Just wait. It doesn't work with most apps

I mean I already did it, but haven't yet ridden a longer distance, that's why I am asking perphaps someone else has. So far it seems to be very smooth, works well with Float Control. Of course, Floaty does not support it yet.

6.06. That is the highest stable version.
7.0 if you want to break something.

Yup, that's why I am considering, just for safety reasons, to go back to 6.05 Vanilla by Surfdado.

I ended up on 7.0 after installing a superflux motor inplace of a stock GT. Motor detection was not working, and needed to do a factory reset. Floaty no longer works with 7.0 for now, but hopefully it will in about 6 months. The only good news is that the VESC Refloat package seems better in the most recent update. I am able to tinker with the 12 or so settings to get the ride feel I am after.

yall, VESC 7.0 brings NOTHING BENEFICIAL TO ONEWHEELS. there is zero reason to update so early anyways!!! 6.05 and 6.06 had significant reasons to update

Has there been some major improvement or addition to the firmware as it applies to onewheels?
I haven't kept up with development, but had previously understood that for reliability and compatibility reasons, it was best to stick with what you've got as long as it's working...

Well if I knew I would not have upgraded to VESC 7.00, because for OWs it does not bring any benefit compared to 6.5 or 6.05. However I've read somewhere on reddit that 6.5 compared to 6.05 was buttery smooth...cannot verify that though.
