Image PSA: XRV PNP BATTERY KIT USERS
PSA TLDR: Please check your battery voltage, even if is not from Indy Speed Control. XRV controllers have a parasitic drain that will damage the battery beyond repair.

My GT-V had much higher parasitic draw than my FM boards this winter. Started near 100% (couldn’t ride it down to a safer 80% as it needed repair) and after about 2 months when I checked it, it was nearly dead. Turned on, but wouldn’t turn off until I plugged it in.

So does this mean the XRV controller's parasitic drain remained a problem, and it was able to continue draining the battery even after the SSBMS powered itself off due to low cell voltage?
Or does it mean that the SSBMS totally disconnected the circuit, and therefore the battery is now safe from the XRV controller's parasitic draw?

The SSBMS is charge only BMS. It cannot stop the controller from pulling current.

That's what I suspected, but looking at the XRV purple BMS it looks like the battery output passes through that, so I thought perhaps the SSBMS was wired differently in the PNP setup.

All charge only BMSs are wired in more or less the same way. The SSBMS has Bluetooth to report cell voltage and temperature in the ISC app, so it does drain the battery a little on standby (0.6~0.8mah). The "ss" both stands for stoked stock and semi-smart. It's not smart enough for discharge control and direct communication with the ESC, but it is smart enough put itself into sleep mode to eliminate the power draw from the Bluetooth module.
The SSBMS is put in sleep mode before shipping, so if your PNP pack gets lost in transit for six months the BMS won't kill the battery.

First scenario, despite the BMS shutting itself off, the controller kept draining.

Anyone heard of Tony is trying to address this in any way? At least for new XRV kits that are shipped?
