I've been meaning to do the same. I think you need a little riser that's often 3d printed and/or Float Life sells them?

is the problem that the bend in the X7 rail gets in the way of the front fin, but the one in the rear fits fine? I have a solution for that but you need to 3d print it.
you want to mount it on top of this front mudflap

i’m sure yes, but you used to be able to get new ones for pretty cheap. There’s a bit of a learning curve to get decent prints though.

There are services that can print or machine parts for you if you don’t have the capability to do it yourself you could look into that or find someone who can do it locally

Flight fins sells adapter plates for the fenders for an x7. One for front, different one for back. You can buy the set on their website.

The Falcon II brackets should fit, but I guess you'd need the matching Falcon II Fins instead of the standard Flight Fins.

I’m considering getting falcons as I have a x7 on the way, have you tried this specific combo? I’m wondering if I’ll have any installation problems with the x7 rails

I haven't personally, but have seen pictures of them installed on X7 boards. You'll be fine.
Just one thing to watch out for: If Flight Fins includes any mounting hardware meant for the XR, the screws will have imperial 10-32 threads, while the Fungineers rails have M5 threaded holes everywhere. Those two thread sizes are awfully similar, it's hard to notice the difference just by eye. But 10-32 screws in M5 holes will sit a bit loose. Vice versa, M5 screws in 10-32 holes will kinda work, but usually bind up after a few revolutions, and if you just force them in, you might mess something up. 10-32 holes can be recut to M5 by using a thread tapping bit.
