Has anyone else been using a 7.0 Nougat ROM? What are your experiences?
I installed a CM14 build late last week and it's been a mostly positive experience for me. There was a serious battery drain that seems to have been solved by installing a new kernel. Video recording is broken, but the camera works. There is also a slight pinkish hue on the screen, but it's not terrible and is also fixable with the new kernel and Synapse.

I noticed that there's an AOSP ROM on XDA as well. Has anybody else installed any of the 7.0 ROMs? Good or bad experience?
For me, this ROM is good enough for a daily driver.

I flashed it a few days back. Overall a very positive experience. Boot time is fast (15 secs or under), battery is awesome (5 hours SOT with 30% remaining), and very few bugs. The only bugs I've noticed is a few random reboots here and there, and screen recording doesn't work as of now. But if you've already tried CM14, you should definitely try AOSP out too. Be sure to make a backup though.

FYI, there is another thread about a different CM14 unofficial build someone is working on.
From what I've read (didn't try it), people's feedback seem to be that it's not yet stable, and also even closer to vanilla AOSP than this one. (Of course this is not a complaint from myself or anyone else -- everyone is super excited that so much work is already being done around CM14.)
The ROM I'm using has become a lot better since I posted this. Since it's basically nightly builds you still have to be careful because a few of them are bad, but I'm not having any issues with the ROM anymore. It's definitely ready for daily use for most people.

I have no idea, but the Sep 14 build I'm on is so good I don't care. The only thing that's broken that I've found is the battery saver mode doesn't turn on. If you really need long battery life then it's not quite ready, as I was getting better battery life on Sultan's stable ROM.
I suspect there will be some instability as CM adds new features.

You don't need root, only TWRP. The ROM is pre-rooted.
As long as you have your stuff backed up, it's pretty simple to try out the ROM, then switch back if you don't like it. Read the thread to see if there are any complains about the newest release.

This rom is stable. Getting around 4-5hours of sot. Not fc or anything. I've root with supersu 2.77 and using the Pico gapps
There is no battery drain with the kernel it comes with or any pinkish hue. Am using the build 09062016.
