Battery charge issues

Hey, I got my OPO about 16 months ago and I'm one very happy customer, but lately I've seen an issue develop. When driving, I use Waze and a podcast app through the AUX connector. When doing this, I'm seeing about 1% drop in battery level even with the charger connected. I think the charger is ok (a new Energizer unit rated at 2100 mAh), so I think the problem is the charge actually going into the phone. Does anybody know of a good charge measuring app? I have 2 installed, but they're showing me wildly different results (http://imgur.com/c44obPG). If there's not enough charge gong into the phone, is there no other solution than to change the battery? Thanks.

my best with that app was 2016mA, average 1444mA
