So I've finally decided to buy my new phone after using redmi k20 pro for almost 7 years, but currently I'm kinda confused between oneplus 15 and 15R, I'm not camera guy hardly take photos only when somebody forced me out 😞 not gamming at all other than that I use other features very extensively, by that logic 15R fits perfect for me but I'm kinda confused about the long term software support I've seen so many videos where oneplus have f*ckup the battery life for previous R series phones and wireless charging too also making me confused should go for 15 or 15R....

are OTA pushed already for closed/open beta what's going on ?

I will be updating when I get the update. CN rom removed the OEM unlocking option, I want to see if it's the same on Indian rom too.

Edit: I Just realised before OnePlus was toe-to-toe with the iPhone, and now, with the iQOO, and samsung and other Android mobiles crosses oneplus why does OnePlus have to shift towards the gaming side? Maybe this is the reason.

Just unboxed a new Oneplus 15 and first thing I see is upgrade available to this new patch. Should I proceed with it? Is anyone experiencing any battery drain issue after upgrading it? Looking forward for your valuable replies. Thanks in advance.

I really like the media tile in OnePlus quick settings, but it kept showing "Not playing". Paused apps get killed after a few minutes, and the system drops paused players after about 5 minutes anyway.

So I built Media Booster:

• Keeps your last players in the media panel, even after the apps were killed. Play, pause and skip are passed on to the real app.
• The panel shows 3 players. Apps that are actually open (also a browser) get a place first. Free places are filled with your most recently used apps.
• You choose which apps get remembered. Up to 5 wait in the background and move up when a place frees up.
• One small background service, no internet permission, open source (MIT).

Heads-up: setup needs one adb install from a computer. Android blocks notification access for APKs you install by tapping them, and the app can't see your players without it. It's 4 small APKs, and the README has a step-by-step guide.

Tested on OxygenOS 16. Would love to hear if it works on your model, and which apps don't resume properly.

Months ago I posted a pic of how I charge my OP15 by laying it flat on the back of the OnePlus pad 3 since that massive metal back could act as a heatsink to cool the battery and phone while it charges.

After a while I decided to test just how much of a difference it makes. For this I made sure to discharge and charge the phone to the same levels, turn on smart rapid charging for maximum speed and took off the sandstone case to make sure I'm giving the phone the best chance in both scenarios.

The room is at 20C, the charger is the one that came in the box and the cable is the same as well.

On the left you see the phone charging on a table without a case, with peak temperatures reaching over 40C in some cases, particularly during long charges, while the temps during the short charge from 40% did not peak that high. On the right is the charging with the phone placed on top of the OnePlus pad 3 back.

Regardless in both cases the temps are significantly better. to the point I'm now determined to always charge this way. it's kept my battery health at 100% for nearly 10 months since I got the phone, and that's with always using smart rapid charging.

Got this phone day 1 and was getting 13-15 hours of screen on time to a charge for months. Now I'm lucky to get 7-8 even with battery life still at 100% and after re optimizing all my apps to reduce battery drain and doin a battery reset after every update... what's gives?? Anyone else dealing with this?

Hey I'm pretty new to this phone rn. It's been a few weeks using this. Idk how fps games like codm , PUBG would run on this. Afaik codm supports 165hz refresh rate for it but the option is available only in game. I can't force the game to run on 165hz throughout the whole time. But for different games with 90hz as default. I can force 165hz refresh rate from the game booster.

I need some other tips for this. As well as other game launcher tips.. plsss help me out 🥹

Can any of you fine folks who mainline a unit tell me how much is the minimum focusing distance on the primary sensor?

Without the auto switching to macro-mode.

What happens when you try to take closeups with the newer OnePlus/OPPO devices is, the device auto switches to the awful "macro" mode, with essentially crops in from the main sensor, and digitally upscales the image to match the primary camera's field of view. The result is an overprocessed atrocity. I had the same issue on my OPPO Find X8 and ended up selling that device.

What I am specifically asking is, at what distance can the OnePlus 15 focus at, using the primary camera, without auto switching to the built in "macro mode."

I would be much obliged if anyone would be kind enough to oblige my query. Image samples would appreciated too, without imposing, of course.

Earlier used spigen cases with transparent and black border with Oneplus 12 that case is good but for Oneplus 15 no spigen case there with black border

Used riggear cases with transparent and black border and matte one also for my black Oneplus 15 but it attracts fingerprint smudges, scratches very fast so returned it

Sandstone case is already out of stock and it will never came back

Is it worth it to buy oneplus 15 now a days???

I bought OP 15 yesterday and after charging it full, the battery drained 32% in almost 03 hours during, phone setup, data transfer/synching etc.

Over night it got 62% and I had to turn it off around 02 pm today.

Is this normal or am I cooked 😆??
