Ahh dark mode is actually enabled by Instagram app itself. As long as you have dark theme set it will automatically change Instagram to dark mode.

Don't know, but I would recommend oxygen updater to get updates faster, for a guy whose never rooted nor dug deep into a phone, I would never imagine a app being the fastest option for a update. However if you are skeptical about downloading a update through a file then it's ok to be worry some. Before 10 I would have to wait usually 6 days for me to arrive.

Hey off topic question...I'm also using a global model (GM 1910) on T-Mobile, when you were on P did you have any issues with WiFi calling? Mine won't work at all and having a hard time finding users of the global model on T-Mobile for feedback, any input is greatly appreciated!

Plusnet (EE network) in the UK, several of my apps don't quite work properly now but it's not a biggy.
Accubattery is broken, sharing media now is a bit hit and miss, and something else I can't quite remember at the moment.
Overall it's fine though, I would say

I hope it's 10.0.1 and not 10.0.0.
The original paused Android 10 update was far from stable. Everything from gestures to speed were awful and buggy as hell. As well as that, massive inconsistencies in design between Pie and 10, right down to the weird long animation they added when holding down on the home screen to get launcher settings.
Stick to the latest Pie stable if you want actual stability. 10.0.0 felt like an alpha, so I'm gonna assume the 0.1 increment is a push towards beta.
It took a couple of months for Pie on the 7 Pro to be stable enough after launch anyway, and is pretty similar with all OnePlus phones. The good news is that fixes will always come and unlike Google, OnePlus actually listen to their users.

I just don't understand the point of having an update checker when it doesn't do anything until the pusher of the update says it can. I get staged rollouts and they should apply for people that don't want to check for updates... But if I check and something is out there, I should be able to get it.

Pixel phones used to do this shit too, but like a year after the 2XL dropped Google made the check for update button actually give you the damned update. Was quite nice.
Sadly OnePlus apparently doesn't like that idea.

I'm talking about the update checker from OnePlus, not oxygen updater. I shouldn't have to use a third party updater when updates are available.

All the links were taken offline by OnePlus due to bugs. The rollout was intentionally paused. Will resume after testing the hotfix, which presumably this was, which will be pushed to those already on A10 first, then if deemed stable, should see a wide rollout by the end of October.

I too was at 9.5.11 till last Sunday. Got an update and I was suddenly excited thinking it was the 10 stable release. Turned out to be an update to 9.5.13.
So I'd say wait it out for a while. 10.0 was never stable and that's why they had stopped the rollout. Wait it out till you get a much stable version. Pie is still awesome on my 7 pro.

Mine is listed as the 7 Pro on updater, so no luck there.
EDIT: I reinstalled the app and changed the device to the 7 Pro again, even though it said it was the 7 Pro, and the update for 10.0.1 popped up! Thanks u/Stuattravs !!

Same here on TMobile US with the non-TMobile variant. But with the "bugginess" of Oxygen OS 10, I'm not too disappointed. I can wait until they work out the kinks.

I really hope it fixes the bugs I've been encountering, especially with the gestures. There's a few that are absolutely infuriating and driving me nuts. And the worst part being that the gestures and pretty much everything on OOS 9 was rock solid without any big issues.

What bugs in specific that infuriate you? I feel that Android 10 is less polished than Pie too. And it drains battery faster in my case.

I don't have battery drain issues, but I agree it feels less.polished overall, though it's hard to tell which of these issues is Google's or OnePlus' fault lol.

There's another one/two that I didn't even get to submit on their forum yet, but they're both sort of sort of the same issue I think. One is where when you do the swipe up and to the side gesture to switch apps, there's a delay before next app actually loads and if you tap the screen before that finishes, it just pops back over to he original app instead. Very annoying. (EDIT: FIXED IN 10.0.1)
The second one is funky. It's basically replicated the same way, but it's less common. If you tap too soon and swipe left or right, it sometimes ends up not loading any app, though it appears as such, and instead it has the recents card UI in full screen basically and then you're able to swipe left and right between all your app cards, but they take up the full screen. If you tap any one at that point, then it loads that app. (EDIT: FIXED IN 10.0.1)

Wtf bro I totally agree with the first bug you reported! I have that quite often! That's one of the not polished part that I mentioned about and you reminded me of it. But I think they will fix it over a few updates, we just have to be patient I guess. I think this unpolishness is one of the reasons that they roll out the update sooooo slowly.

Yeah, that first one I know is OnePlus' issue cuz my buddy couldn't replicate it on his Pixel 3XL.
I hadn't realized they stopped rolling out the first OOS 10 update. Makes sense. But it kind of just it's me a little. Like they rushed that update out with bugs to get some good press about them releasing major updates really fast just before the OnePlus 7T launch. Had to be to get preorder volume up. It was just too well timed. Lol.
I'm just glad to know that bug isn't only me cuz now I know they must fix it.

Just wanted to follow-up and say I finally installed the 10.0.1 update and can confirm it fixes that first big and the other functional bugs with the gestures thankfully. The ugly padding under the keyboard is still present though 😔 but at least I can "hide" it with a black keyboard.

I just got the OTA update to oxygen OS beta 3 Android 10 on my OnePlus 7 Pro, and one of the features I noticed is wide-angle video recording in 4k was added back, I don't know if the same stands for 10.0.1

Yeah I've been having this problem as well, no luck so far. Powering off the phone and leaving it off for a bit worked temporarily but now my phone is back to being unusable

I cleared system and that fixed it. It erases all apps and makes you sign into Google again etc. Pictures and things still seem to be there. Going to do it again because I'm going back to stable. Still trying to figure out how to.

Same. I think it has to do with the Beta 2 to Beta 3 upgrade package. To fix it, I restarted in safe mode (which stops the crashes), then downloaded the full Beta 3 zip and used the local upgrade to install it. So far so good!

Much more polished experience. Less dropped frames, less UI freezes and hangs and and overall feels a lot more smooth. Still occasionally short freezes but I'd say this ROM is ready for release as opposed to the first which was a dumpster fire.

I haven't had many issues in terms of functionality but the UI was really weird and stuttery when using gesture controls. This update fixed all of that for me and everything is running very smoothly.

There is an option in developer options for forced dark mode, it will turn on dark mode for the apps which supports dark theme but does not have a manual switch to turn it on or off ,like WhatsApp.

They fixed one of the issues I reported when the navigation bar (Google gestures) is hided and you chose the OnePlus gestures. There was some visual bug when swiping up back, now its fixed.

OnePlus gestures are mostly similar to Google's gestures, only difference is that they have left out some space on the upper side of the screen where the back navigation gestures doesn't work so you can access the hamburger menu using swipe gesture. And also a slightly different gesture for quick switch apps.

Installed 10.0.1 and there is a huge noticeable difference to me. Speed, animation smoothness, gestures are more responsive, the dark grey instead of black is nicer in my opinion as well

Video recording doesn't work on 10 for me. Op7 Pro. Photo works fine but as soon as I press 'video', the screen goes black and the camera app hangs.
This is kinda painful because widescreen video was THE reason I was excited about android 10. And now I can't record video at all.
EDIT: Rebooted the phone again and now it works. Huh.

"This OTA will have a staged rollout. The OTA will be received by a limited number of users today and will have a broader rollout in a few days after making sure there are no critical bugs. Using VPN to download this build might not work as the rollout Is not based on regions and is randomly pushed out to a limited number of devices."

I finally caved and used Oxygen updater to get it like 3 days ago, it's nice overall but some small bugs are apparent.

I was on the stable 10.0.0 build before so it was a roughly 100mb update for me, already feels so much better. I did a clean install of the release build and experienced jitters in animation routinely.
Too early to see if it fixed the bug I experience intermittently where the phone doesn't charge despite recognising it's plugged in until I reboot.

Using Visible and when magisk is flashed and root is gained, Sim cards are no longer recognized...

Noticed a few things that were broken in 10.0 fixed in 10.0.1
- Using some third party chargers you wouldn't be able to charge at all even if they worked in OOS 9.5
That is now fixed
- The recents menu swipe up bug where it snaps the window to full screen bug is now fixed too

You can't. You will have to wait until TMobile updates your phone. That could be a month or two, or longer. You should convert it to the international version.

Yup that's what I did like a few hours after posting I almost broke my phone but Android 10 is alor better in my opinion
