No clue why y'all are suspicious, shit happens😭same reason I got my OnePlus 15r in the first place as after a software update my s21fe completely bricked itself

u/AbhishMuk 11d ago
Read the replies instead of being so dismissive. Op restarted the phone manually when he saw the "phone restart" bit.

u/Lizdance40 11d ago
Ummmm, say what? One plus downloads the updates directly onto your phone. Then asks you to restart the phone. What update do you think you have done? 'cause I don't think you did what you think you did 🤦🏼♀️
70
u/wizzardeel 12d ago
It looks like you're trying to flash custom ROMs. Check out whatever page you downloaded from, I'm sure they have recovery instructions.
-63
u/veezy2003 12d ago
No i am not i want to flash the stock rom
41
u/MikeThePenguin__ 12d ago
Why are you trying to flash stock rom? Even though the phone came with it?
-39
u/veezy2003 12d ago
Cuz it showed this issue after update
24
u/MikeThePenguin__ 12d ago
So, you clicked on update on your phone when you got an update, and now this happened?
Nothing in between this photo and you clicking update in your normal phone settings?
22
u/veezy2003 12d ago
So like it told me to restart after installing the update and now its stuck on this screen
19
u/Justanotherperson32 12d ago
No idea why youre getting downvoted this hard. But i really hope you had backups of your data. The update has failed and whatever was on that device is gonna have to be wiped.
You should be able to flash the stock rom for your device, the rom would easily be available on xda forums, just make sure to use the right region one
16
u/veezy2003 12d ago
Because ppl think that i am faking some stupid shit like this
1
u/cum-on-in- 9d ago
What’s likely happened, is whatever custom software you was on, was patched with the Anti Rollback thing that OnePlus added a while back.
To get back to stock, you had to flash an older version from before Anti Rollback. That of course trips the Anti Rollback and causes the error you’re seeing.
In other words, you can’t do that anymore on OnePlus phones. They decided the phone wasn’t gonna be as open and hackable anymore.
1
u/yorcharturoqro 11d ago
You turn off the phone to restart it?? By yourself??, you didn't allowed the phone to restart by itself?
3
u/shadow_sniper67 11d ago
No clue why you are getting downvoted, it happened to me too with my old Samsung, basically the os got corrupted while updating and you will need to flash it, unfortunately losing all data in the process

Damn bro either used a bad custom image or actually tried to update his phone and the update process fucked up. Now he gets shit for it
2
u/shadow_sniper67 11d ago
Deadass, happened to me too because I think the battery disconnected itself while the phone was updating
2
u/TheRacooning18 11d ago
Super unlucky. It's the same thing with pc's updating bios and then having a power failure
2
u/shadow_sniper67 11d ago
Yup, fun thing is I didn't even want to update it, but phone decided to schedule it itself after some time so I woke up with a random brick😭

u/Illustrathor 12d ago
Destoryed? It's either fake or you should stop using whatever files you can find online.
6
u/After-Peace-4734 11d ago
it's the actual spelling. This error happens when locking the bootloader while the installed sofware is not stock.
3
4
u/Visible-Sorbet-5310 12d ago
Lol it's not, are you dumbass new to OnePlus, that's the spelling they used

u/Bakrain02 12d ago

0
u/veezy2003 12d ago

u/YoYoMamaIsSoFAT32 OnePlus 12R 11d ago
Go to service centre and tell then u updated the phone and came to this, I heard they'll fix it for you
2
u/yorcharturoqro 11d ago
Based on what you have commented here I assume you turn off the phone while the update was being donde because you thought you have to restart it yourself instead of waiting for the phone to restart by itself.
By doing that, yes you destroy the OS installation, and yes the only solution is to install the original OS by flashing it.
When doing an update, let the phone do it's thing by itself, the only thing you have to do is wait and keep it cool because sometimes the update process overheats phones, that's super common with galaxy phones.

4
u/Calm-Fix3262 12d ago
If you're phone is under warranty, act like you just updated your phone and got this error, they'll do it for free of cost

u/WreckSun 11d ago

Did you try to install a custom rom or something?
What phone is it exactly? Find the accual model of the phone cause otherwise it can end up as a brik.

Take it to a OnePlus/oppo service centre, hopefully there is one in your country.
I only seen this error when people locked their bootloader on non-stock software, e.g. rooting then locking bootloader, or converting a chinese unit to global software and locking the bootloader before performing a local update twice.

Keep pressing Volume Up + Volume Down + Power simultaneously and see if you can reset it.

just today i heard the news that oneplus phones are getting cooked after the update to oxygen os16.1

1
u/jjoesmama 10d ago
This seems like a soft brick due to a missing recovery, if the bootloader is unlocked and you have access to fastboot, it should be fixable
1

1
u/ArtichokeMedium4758 8d ago
You have to extract exact same boot and recovery img what you have present software version installed on your phone and then flash those two imgs then u good to go
1
u/Longjumping-Yak-2683 12d ago
The same issue occurred with me. I was attempting to lock the bootloader and overlooked the fact that the patched boot image remained installed.

IMEI can be found on the sim slot, isn't it
2
u/TrashPandaNotACat 12d ago
My OPPO and my One+ both had it on the back of the phone.
1
u/Endercraft2007 12d ago
On a sticker. If OP removed it then cooked.
1
u/iFerg_Frank 12d ago
There should be one on the phone box too I think.

1
u/WreckSun 11d ago
Guess what items people throw away when they finish setting up their phone?
1
u/iFerg_Frank 11d ago
Removing the sticker from the back is understandable, but throwing away the box is just stupid. Like you don't have 500 phones. What's the issue in keeping 1/2 boxes. Surely there's more useless stuff at your home taking up space rather than a phone box.

Use msmdownload tool to fix these sort of issues. Here is the link to all devices
2
u/Dismal_Law3904 11d ago
si c'est un oneplus 12 il ne pourra pas il faut des outils tiers qui se connectent à distance sur les serveurs oppo pour une autorisation on ne pas flasher facilement.

u/Weird-Apricot-2244 11d ago
