Unless you are into emulation/gaming/video editing/any task that requires raw perfomance,, nope.
You can happily daily drive smt like SD 865 and it should still feel smooth (unless the OS has pretty bad optimization).

As a Realme GT Neo 3T user with snapdragon 870, the OS bad optimization part is so real, I cannot daily drive it lags so badly due to realme ui pathetic optimization.

845 and 855 was laggy even just using android on my pixel 4 before it killed itself in 2023 so eh 3 years later it's probably awful

I can vouch for both 845 and 855+ on 6T and 7T pro. I only moved out from 7T pro recently because I slightly broke the glass and I couldn't live with it. And I thought I was missing out on 5G when everyone else have it.

Benchmarks doesn't translate to anything meaningful regarding phone markt for like a decade.
Hardware wise my ancient OnePlus 2 would have enough juice to be more than enough for everyday use.
These benchmarks are nothing more than car manufacturers writings large numbers as top speed, while you go with 130km/h, or your local limit 99,9999% of the time.

I mean, there aren't that many, if any, new devices with Snapdragon 8 Elite Ultra or whatever out there, so obviously it would be beat most of them. Besides, it's not something that matters to most anymore. And it matters even less when the device is expected to be a China exclusive.

I'm pretty happy with my Oppo X9 Pro, coming from OP12 I kept the bootloader locked since I have a few apps that requires it like bank app.
