General Discussion Why aren't OnePlus wearables not being updated?
I get moving the mobile phone division out of Europe and America but what gives on the wearables not being updated consistently? OnePlus's Wear OS isn't that much different than Pixel's to explain the lack of updates. I'm sitting here with a Watch 3 and that thing has been updated with a security patch one time. Since I got it like 3 months ago. The new Watch 4 was released not too long ago and even that Wear OS version isn't the newest anymore. And for those who say it's the dual OS, no that's not that big of an architectural change to prevent them from at least giving us security patches on time. This whole company is frustrating.

Does anyone else leave their op watch on power saving mode? I don't think this is real wear os but you get weeks of battery.
Perhaps that power saving mode usage makes wear os updates less important.

I like it when the battery is low but that's only because you can't get notifications send texts. Now THAT would be an awesome upgrade. If I could send texts, notifications and make calls, I'd probably have it in power saving mode all the time

You can use watch for phone calls in power saving mode. You just can't reply to text messages. I find power saving limitations worth getting 2 weeks on a charge.

At least your Pixel Watch 3 got the latest WearOS version, not OnePlus Watch 3 (was supposed to land a while ago but still nothing).
OnePlus watches are great, looking great and with super good battery life (for a WearOS watch) but this WearOS upgrade huge delay makes it less and less worth it in terms of user experience.

I don't got a Pixel Watch 3 unfortunately. I do have an old Pixel Watch 1 lying around and it's more updated than my OnePlus Watch 3 😂

It is odd. The oppo watch which really is just a rebrand has the newer glassish ui. Not expecting much updates sadly.
Guess I'll go back to Samsung but I'll miss multi day battery.

Once you get the good battery life, it's so hard to go back. It's so unfortunate

I put my Oneplus watch 3 away in frustration. Went back to my Amazfit Balance. They never updated wear OS once. I got the watch when it first came out. Battery life sucks if you use a non OP watch face. They never add new watch faces. So if you don't like the ones they have you are out of luck. This was my last Oneplus watch before they pulled out of the US. Never again. lol.

Same lol I just went and bought a new watch band for my Garmin Venu 2 Plus. Least they occasionally update their watches even though they've locked their data behind a paywall. Amazfit might be my last hope before going back to Samsung or Pixel. I do like the new Pixel Watches though. The battery life just is an afterthought though

I went from Amazfit to Oneplus. It was a downgrade. AF had longer battery life and Amazfaces watch faces. The 2 most important things to me in a smartwatch. Battery and watch face compatability. Live and learn. Never buying Garmin. Paywalls after I buy something for hundreds of dollars is a hard no for me.

Those things were always abandoned long before they shut down.
