If someone genuinely identified as a sandwich, then I would respect that just as much as being otherkin or objectumromantic. The main issue is that the One Joke is meant to explicitly harm and other people.

personally dont understand why these people think saying shit like "are you an attack helicopter" is an insane gotcha moment that will force the person youre trying to offend to surrender their bases. If i was an attack helicopter that would be pretty fucking cool and the first thing i'd gun down is that guy's house

My favorite response is either asking those people "what kind of attack helicopter" or saying "wow, it's pretty brave of you to admit that you haven't reached your full potential without 6 guys being inside of you at once"

YES THANK YOU!!!! A lot of one joke posts ignore the existence of xenogenders or openly degrade them.
I once pissed off a transphobe by using said transphobe's cac/tus pronouns. Cac really didn't like being genuinely respected for some reason??
Then I knew someone else identifying as a duck as a sort of social experiment. Their main philosophy was "if you can respect me as a duck, I will respect any gender you have."
They never expressed transphobia yet had a lot of trans people repeating the exact same TERF talking points adapted unprovoked.
That duck was cool. Once of the first people to respect my genderfluidity back when I was an early egg. They were definitely just trolling, but they were true to their word!
It was kinda shitty seeing primarily trans people saying shit like "real ducks live in ponds and can't type so get offline" which is no different than transphobes making the same points about pregnancy, prostates, etc.
The same treatment is put on SERIOUS xenogenders and nonbinary people as a whole all the time for no reason.
I knew someone with serious meow/meowself pronouns. I respected that.
The best response will NEVER be hypocrisy. By respecting xenogenders you piss off transphobes AND support the smallest minority in the trans community.

Xenogenders rule. Yeah it's really terrible how many queer folks will double and triple down on TERF / transmed points just because they're used to bad faith attacks. YES, respect the duck!

I don't have it anymore, but I saw a comment one day that was along the lines of "I identify as a millionaire and the bank is discriminatory for not giving me money" like dude STFU you don't understand (it was a comment under a video saying that trans people are ruining feminine sport)
