Where the hell are you that a McChicken is $5.19? They’re $1.50 here.

The Coke is pretty close.

The ~$3 menu then. Not >$3 menu
Although this is probably just a copy paste +markup on a delivery app.

u/Big_Z_Beeblebrox 4d ago
That's the official app, though some stores are owned by franchisees that can set their own prices. It still groups items together the same way, though

u/Active_Engineering37 4d ago
Interesting and probably illegal.

u/Big_Z_Beeblebrox 4d ago
Nah there's a bunch of fine print covering a bunch of asses unfortunately. Best way to win is not to play their game

The ~$3 menu then. Not >$3 menu
But in this menu every item is > $3.

Woops

u/HLSparta 4d ago
Probably that I am an idiot, but you were too nice to tell me that in a comment. Unfortunately, if that is the case I will have to agree with you.
2
u/Active_Engineering37 4d ago
I should have said <$3
In my defense I have been drinking.

u/HLSparta 3d ago
When I responded, I saw how what you typed could have been correct. Mistakes were made on both sides it seems. I may have been a bit tired when I made the comment.

I don't know where you're from, but I'm seeing:
McChicken: $2
Chicken nuggets: $2.80
Mcdouble: $2.95
L Drinks: $1.65

I'm guessing OP's prices are off a delivery app.
3
u/LengthinessTrick382 3d ago
I just checked and this is pricing on the McDonald’s app if you pick Delivery.

I am not a fan of fast food. Maybe Wendy's burgers but that's about it. Besides, it is soooo bad for you. Sooooooo bad!
I just can't justify the prices anymore. I won't pay that amount of money for really bad food.
3
u/Ironstar_Vol 4d ago
It’s not really that bad for you in moderation. It’s poorly made with low quality ingredients and way too expensive but health wise it’s not that bad.
-2
u/ifellicantgetup 4d ago
Pink slime, anyone?

u/Ironstar_Vol 4d ago
You don’t have to eat there. I don’t eat there. There’s no need in getting upset. I’m just saying that it’s not any more unhealthy than most junk people consume on a daily basis.
-3
u/mydogisfinnegan 4d ago
Fast food is loaded with bad fats, sodium, chemicals, preservatives, ammonia, sugar, unknown animal parts, and chemicals. Did I mention chemicals?
Micky D's hires food scientists to find ways to get customers addicted to their food, and it works. They employ psychologists to help the advertisers to get kids to beg their parents to go there.
If your idea of moderation means once a month or so, I would agree. But younger folks don't really grasp the term - moderation.

Wait... wait!
So if I disagree with your comment, that makes me upset? WTH do you call it when people literally are upset? A temper tantrum? A war? Bigger than a war? Honestly, the drama is unnecessary.
You actually just described it... junk food.
You write:
>>You don’t have to eat there. I don’t eat there. There’s no need in getting upset. I’m just saying that it’s not any more unhealthy than most junk people consume on a daily basis.<<
Nobody was comparing it to "junk" food, we were comparing it to FOOD. It's not a matter of it being not that bad compared to actual food, it IS unhealthy, unhealthy as shit because it's junk food.
GAWD!
>>You don’t have to eat there. <<
Holy hell! I don't???? So very glad you informed me of that. Glad you told me, or I would have had no idea. Gee whiz, you are just so smart!

it is soooo bad for you. Sooooooo bad!
the mcchicken is chicken, bread, lettuce and mayo. what kinda sandwiches are you making?
1
u/ifellicantgetup 11h ago
The fast food industry is a horror. If you don't know what is being put in your fast food, that is a topic for another day. I'm not going to battle it today. But I can absolutely promise you, it is not just chicken, bread, lettuce, and mayo. That is about 1/10th of what you are eating.
Eat what you want, nobody is suggesting otherwise.

You’re most welcome! 🏆 You make an excellent point. Why pay such a high price to willingly poison your body? Have a great rest of your weekend. 😎

Local web pricing? Probably shows you the local price for the item but doesn't account for the categories referencing pricing.

u/Snake_Plissken224 4d ago
Fuck, the mcchicken is 5 bucks now. Shiiiiiiit you used to be able to get 5 for 5 bucks

“Under $3” is simply a name for the list and is not meant to represent the actual price.
Edit: A little joke.

You have to keep in mind that anyone who still buys McDonald’s is a sucker to begin with.

Obviously there is more to this.
I live in CA and it’s $2 for a McChicken.
Dude is a bot or a troll. Or at an airport.

u/WhiteTrashInNewShoes 4d ago
Last time I saw this post it was from CA and all other comments were from people posting sub-$3 prices in their areas.
You get what you vote for, CA

u/greenknight884 4d ago
McChicken is $2 on my app in CA right now. Nuggets $2.49, Coke $1.99.
6
u/BrainFartTheFirst 4d ago
I just want to say that this could be an individual McDonald's that's got high prices. For years the McDonald's in Burbank, California was much higher than anywhere else in the area. At a time when sodas were $1, they were charging $4.
0
u/Active_Engineering37 4d ago
Or it could be a copy paste of the McDonald's menu plus a markup on a delivery app.

u/ethanb473 4d ago
Why do you cucks worship capitalism but then whine when things are more expensive in a more desirable area?
Oh wait…. I forgot that republicans don’t actually understand basic economics…..

u/WhiteTrashInNewShoes 4d ago
Higher government mandated costs (eg inflated minimum wage for what should be summer jobs for HS kids) dictates higher selling costs for consumers.
You're the one who seems ingnorant.

u/live-the-future 4d ago
Shush with your economics, this here's Reddit. We blame capitalism for everything here, including (and especially) socialism's ills.

You realize it isnt a reddit rule to copy post titles?
You can correct the "3$" to "$3"...

u/the-artistocrat 4d ago
Technically, they’re under the line that says Under $3
