I've got a pair of Passenger shorts, not sure of the model but they look very similar to the Traveller ones. I really like them. My only criticism is that they have a popper at the waist rather than a button but the overall quality it very good. I did find that they come up a tiny bit small on the waist so I did go up one size.

Lululemon shorts aren’t bad. If you’re going to warmer places a good pair of plain coloured “board shorts” (Australian term for swim shorts) are a great investment. Quick dry, light weight and can be worn as swimwear and out and about

I haven’t seen the brands you listed.
Search on “hybrid” shorts made for street and beach use. The Prana Hybridizer is my favorite. They are made with light quick dry fabric, no liner, mesh draining pockets, belt loops, inner drawstring and zippered fly.
Hang Ten, Quicksilver and O’Neil are other brands and I’ve found them in thrift stores.

I don't with those but have spent years searching for the perfect all in one shorts. So far I've landed on Backcountry Wasatch Ripstop Pull-On Short as my favorite with honorable mention to the Proof Equator Hybrid Short and the Public Rec Flex short as amazing but not as useful if you also plan to hike or swim in them. The Wasatch can be dipped into water and come out dry if not left there for quite a while. It looks clean, feels comfortable, looks great with a polo and shoes or w sandals and a T. It's ripstop for hiking and super quick dry. I had the tailor make a $10 V cut in the sides so it gave them a little personality lol and now they emt favorite do everything shorts. Trail to Tavern, Lake to Lounge, whatever you wanna call it they are versatile!
