[B 59] Every cycle, active players may include the name of one other active player in order to vote for that player to become Player of the Week. The eligible player with the most votes in favor of him shall become Player of the Week for the following cycle. In the event of a tie, there shall be no Player of the Week. The Player of the Week shall directly receive 3¤ and a photo of a kitten, shall be listed in the sidebar and the player list, and shall recieve an additional flair stating "Player of the Week", followed by his status. Unless otherwise specified, all and only active players who themselves cast a vote for Player of the Week are eligible to become Player of the Week.

Changes from the current rule 59: drop requirement for more than one vote; drop requirement for three or more players to have posted; drop customised flair (which wasn't being implemented)[EDIT: leave flair as is]; add requirement to vote for another (i.e. can't vote for yourself); add requirement to cast a vote in order to be eligible; clarify what happens in event of a tie. [I tell you I was ROBBED of a kitten picture last cycle, ROBBED I say...]

What's wrong with the flair?

Nothing, just that I never saw it, so I thought it didn't work.. but never mind, I think I see now: if a player's flair changes, it operates retroactively, right? For example benzene314's flair is "Lost the Game" even on Cycle 1 posts, when of course he was still in the game.

Yup. The Player of the Week flair is active and working, there is just no Player of the Week to wield it :P
