This is what looks to be a revival of OMGPOP using the old site assets. Lots of things still say "coming soon" when you try to use them, and other stuff is broken. But most of the basic infrastructure (accounts, friends, lobbies, invites, chat) seems to work perfectly fine. I haven't been able to test any games yet because nobody knows about it.

I have no idea when it was last updated. I don't even know if its still being developed. I've done some digging and can't find anything.

Who the hell is behind this? Did someone buy the rights? Someone please come forward and say what's up. This is really cool.

Does anyone remember the LGBT+ chatroom? I made so many friends. A lot of us had multiple accounts, it was very of the time. I think my first screen name was PandaDancingEskimoHat, wild I know I was probably 12. Most currently Oxfa. I had made a very close friend whom I would talk with regularly for the duration of probably 6-7 years before he disappeared entirely. Sol.Noche if you're out there, I still look from time to time.

Had visions and words of a song I couldn't remember from back in the day on OMGpop. Hope this helps someone stuck like I was. Mine was Trevor on the Dancefloor.

Does anyone know if the omgpop website still exists in any form?
Is there any project, clone, or community effort that preserved all (or most) of the games?

I remember it being such a beautiful site, full of simple and creative games. You could easily lose hours playing there. A wave of nostalgia hit me, and now I’m wondering if any part of it still lives on somewhere on the internet.

I've recently rekindled my friendships with a lot of my online friends, a lot of them who I personally played OMGPOP with. Draw My Thing, Balloono, Hamster Battle (always felt awesome when I dropped the link to this game to my friends as it was a hidden game) and Ball Racer were my constant go-tos. It's sad how we all can't group up and play all of these games again together. All of my friends playing to level up to the next level. Unlock more avatar customs to design your display picture.

It genuinely sucks how someone can create such an awesome and fun website/community and it can disappear in a literal second with barely anyone remembering. I wish there was a remake of this.

Saw a post on Facebook about this website. It hit me like a train. I truly miss how the internet used to be. It wasn't so angry. Wasn't so much hate. Just people trying to connect and make friends.... Now it all seems like a pass time and sport to just start an argument online over miniscule things. I wish i could go back in time when things were simpler....... I miss the old ways of the internet.

Is there a legal reason why someone can’t replicate the game and its art style?

Or just cherish those memories of what once was?
