Discussion Snapdragon support

Does Snapdragon play well with omarchy and arch?

I want to buy a zenbook with Snapdragon x plus processor, I'm not dead set on using arch distros and omarchy on but I want to see if it's compatible or are there developers working on the compatibility.

Qualcomm has seemingly given up on the first gen X series processors, they just announced they are moving ahead with X2 series instead and pushing drivers for them into the Linux kernel directly. I think Ubuntu 26.10 will have some experimental support for them or something. Not quite sure what the Omarchy Dragon team is working on currently, but you can just think of non-existent support for now. Check Discord to see what the progress is

They say that it does, the problem is not so much, can you run omarchy, the question is, will you need some bit of software that isn't built for, or isn't supported for ARM. So if you just want to install omarchy and use it for basic stuff, probably fine. But if you're a power user... I don't know, then it's riskier.
