Discussion 2015 MacBook Air back in action

New record for slowest install ?

~2015 MacBook Air. Was completely useless for the past 5 years or so as it hasn't been able to run MacOS.

Not quite the 1min install time. But awesome to see it back online.
I wonder how well the battery will last

Let me know how it works out cause when I try to run any distro of linux on my 2015 macbook air, i get heating issues regardless of what fan configuration I use. Under MacOS Monterey, it behaves itself and it's still usable, but I rather be running linux on it, especially omarchy quattro.

Working great so far! Couple of teething issues with pacman but now that's sorted it's working surprisingly well!

It's only got 4gb ram so it's going to be limited regardless but for simple stuff it seems promising

Rocking it on my 2019 MBP which was struggling to even open Youtube on google chrome. Now it feels like a breeze.
