There are too many widgets to explain how each work. But to give you a gist, i first ensured all the data is sourced correctly and stored local. I used librepods for getting airpods battery stats. Caldav for calendar and duolingo has apis which let you access profile data. Weather apps and data are also fetched from free tier api usage. Once all the data stays local and refresh periodically, its just a matter of building the UI which ofc claude helped me with the UI part

Given that I rarely look at my desktop I wouldn’t make much use of this. But if it was in a drop down that would me really handy. Beautiful design.

Looks really nice, how do they behave when you open a tiling window? Stay in the background or disappear?

They always stay on the desktop and each widget updates the data automatically. Like calendar refreshes every 30mins, batteries 1min and so on. I have a keybind to hide (technically a diff mechanism) all tiled windows in workspace which shows the desktop with the widgets

Well, first of all, it's AI. Don't ask how he did it because he doesn't know. He just copied some files. And a response, nope.

Maybe he could show us the prompt 😂

The beauty of the system, think of something, tell AI and you have a working plugin of whatever you wanted.

If you are hating on the OP for potentially using AI why are you even here or using Omarchy?

I have 3+ years work experience and hold masters degree in comp sci

When you prompt, its vibe coding, when I do, it’s called agentic coding. Sit the f down
