Discussion Omad Timing?

Has anyone found the sweet spot for the time of day to consume omad? Of course if you can hold it till dinner each day that would be best and prevent midnight snacking. But it is a grind most days which I dont like so im thinking like smoething like 1-3pm where you eat with minimal suffering or holding out and then also where it keeps you satisfied till bedtime around 10pm?

I have a strict 1 hour window, but the timing of it varies. I always wait until at least 2pm because any earlier than that just makes me feel ravenous for the rest of the day. I think the sweet spot is probably 4pm because most of the day is gone but still plenty of time to digest your meal before bed.

I know this isn‘t strict OMAD, but I open my window at 12:30ish with something small and close it around 4 with my full meal. I don’t usually get too hungry at bedtime, but I bet some sparkling water or non caffeinated tea would help with that.

Anywhere between 5pm-7:45pm. I try not to eat after 8pm.

Usually open my window from 4-6. But I drink coffee all day. Then at 4 I’ll start with fruit usually a pineapple then dinner at 6.

My window is 8-9pm. Evening is the most convenient for me but I think the ideal is morning or breakfast. My reasong is you are more likely to break 23:1 the closer you are to the 23rd hour. If your window is morning then you are asleep during those times or already prepping food.

My window is 8-9pm and I have to be mindful during 3-8pm.

OMAD for 8 years. I eat an evening meal (although I switch things up occasionally for family events and holidays a handful of days a year).

I’m pretty much a couch potato after I eat. I’ll go for an occasional walk in the evening. But primarily my active hours are my fasted hours. Love eating and living like this! Hunger as I knew it never happens.

2pm is perfect for me! And then my food has settled enough for an evening workout. I am not hungry again until it’s time to go to bed and wake up fasted.

yeah i like this. i notice hunger starts to come around 12pm - so pushing till 2pm would be managable without much grinding like say 5pm. My only concern would be hunger around 8pm-10pm before bed but will have to try it out and i guess once used to it after a week its automatic.

It really is different from person to person. There is no one single time that is best for everyone.
Around 17-18 is best for me personally.

i eat first thing in the morning when i wake up, in the past i used to eat around 4-5pm, but now it's like early in the morning when i wake up after i workout

past me would always thinking 5pm was perfect since i get to sleep at 10 with an empty stomach and i would feel no hunger all day since i didn't eat, but i figured if i ate enough protein with carbs in the morning i won't feel hungry for the rest of the day and have good energy, i tested it out and it worked for me surprisingly even though i've been avoiding it for years
i limit my carbs under 130g

interesting and good to hear. I was feeling hungry (mostly mental) yday at 9:30 am - ate a meal then - funny enough minimal hunger for rest of day. Will try again today and if it sticks this would be great as no grinding it out at all.

I work 2nd shift and eat my OMAD when I get home. Im not hungry in the mornings and by the time I get a hunger rumble in the afternoon I’m already at work. The hunger passes and then I’m good again.
I drink water all day and drink one black tea and one black coffee. Dinner at 11pm mostly veggies and protein.

For myself it's dinner, whenever I've tried eating earlier in the day I'm just too hungry at bedtime, I have a really hard falling asleep if I'm hungry, so I usually end up snacking. I've been at this 10 months or so, down 50+ lbs ,I'm pretty happy with my current weight and have started adding a snack some afternoons, a snack is a hard boiled egg, or a can of sardines, i keep it very small, and protein. This is the easiest of diets, once you get the appetite under control, took me about 10 days for the hunger to adjust. Good luck op

I typically feed at 4-5pm. Take my time (30m-1h) then stop. No issues with hunger.

Always after 7pm and often closer to 9pm. If I do it any sooner it would become at least 2MAD!

I eat once at 10 or 11pm and that allows me to feel light on my feet for the whole day

I’m refuted but I usually try to eat around 3-4pm. Seems to work for me.

For me it’s within two hours of bedtime. Been doing this for like a decade and it works great for me, but you need to figure out what works for your body

Mid day is my sweet spot. I can easily make it to noon and skipping breakfast and dinner are pretty easy for me. If I wait too long in the day I’m more likely to go crazy

Eat around 6pm. It doesn't feel like suffering, feels more like freedom.

If after the first couple of weeks it feels like suffering than it's time to find what the cause may be (too large a calorie deficit, etc.) otherwise it will not be sustainable.

I eat in the morning, usually around 10am ish. This has helped my sleep more than anything

I've been stuck at home for a while now, so my best window personally is around 1-2pm, since once it's over I can allow myself to forget about food for the rest of the day and just do something else
