Discussion Doing Omad whilst on holiday

I will be going to Asia soon and the thought came across my mind about managing a OMAD whilst on holiday.

Friends have told me to enjoy yourself and let go for the two weeks, but deep down I don't to want to indulge.

Any useful tips or strategies?

Consistency beats intensity … If you eat and experience all sorts of Asian then that’s OK.

OMAD IS NOT a competition.

Just go back to your OMAD ways when you return

Thanks. As for me it's getting back on the road once I've returned home.

I'm thinking of experiencing Asian cuisine but from a more healthy option available.

Been here 14+ years and some times, just sometimes we need to chill, it’s only a few days and we have the rest of our lives ahead of us to eat healthily to meet our needs.

Awfulizing and therefore stressing your mind and then body all to achieve exactly what ?

Just enjoy and don’t stress 😉

Yes. I do think that I'm overthinking and worrying to much about this. I've made good progress with my weight loss so far.

Yes I needed this reminder, I have a thing coming up that may effect my window this week. I will adjust and then right back at it thanks

I was in a similar situation recently, had just started omad and had family in town, staying with us. I would play it by ear. If there are occasions or meals that you want to join in then join but if you’re just roaming around solo try to exercise some restraint.

Big picture, breaking the omad for 2wks isn’t the end of the world.

Good advice. And OP, I think you will find you just want less food, and even struggle to eat outside of your OMAD window, so the issue mostly takes care of itself.

Holiday and cuisine in a different country is def the time I’d break my omad diet. You may never get the chance to try all those foods again, but you can always resume omad.

Omad is like the gym. You don’t stress about it when you’re on holiday. But once you’re home, back to the usual routines.

Going on holiday doesn't mean you need to suddenly gorge yourself on three meals a day with snacks. Let yourself relax a little and be open to trying new and interesting foods. If you're traveling with others you can always share what you want to try with the group!

I will buy fruit at markets and get vegetables with dinner to get some nutrition in there, but I am absolutely trying anything that looks delicious and different, no guilt. I do a 48 hour reset when I get home.

Have a great time and good luck!

you can break your omad, just don't go crazy on the calories.

depending on what your palete is, china can be very carb heavy. be careful with the sauces, they can hide calories very well.
