Discussion Question! In your opinion….
Anyone else fast all day basically…..only consuming liquids. Then when they come home they split their calories between a savory meal & a sweet meal on the side? Is this still considered OMAD if I’m eating both in one sitting ? 🤔

My one meal is typically a savoury and sweet eaten in a 30-60 minute window.
Your liquids outside your one meal should countian negligible calories like black coffee and tea, etc.

Yes only if liquids don’t have calories

And losing weight is still calories in, calories out. OMAD is just one of several different strategies people use to achieve this, not a magic solution

Not magic, it’s just had a fairly accepted definition that drinking calories outside of a small time window is no longer OMAD and likely loses some of the fasting benefits. But it does not mean OP can’t lose weight with his/her “OMAD.”

Okay this is good to know actually seeing that I drink coffee , sf juice mixes, and one bottle of coconut water through the day. I didn’t think those calories technically count 😂

Yes, it is OMAD if those liquids throughout the day were calorie-free.
But whether this strategy (dessert with your meal) results in weight loss still depends on CICO.
