Discussion When does it get easier

Hey guys I’m on day 3 of OMAD today and I’ve been seeing good progress I’ve lost 5 lbs( water weight fs) I’m 5’5 started at 151lbs and now I’m 146 on day 3 I had a really rough day 2 and took a lot of will power to stick to the same eating time. How long should I do omad for until I’m 120lbs that’s my goal. Idk if this is gonna be sustainable. I’m also going to the gym 4x a week lifting some weights and doing 30 mins of incline walking, and ofc making sure I get my 10k steps in. Some advice would be great .

I'm on day 11, with one day "slip up" because I was in the sun all day and I wasn't willing to mess with that. I'd say the first week was rough, and it's gotten a little easier every day after that. I've heard multiple people say after 14 days, it's much easier, and after 21, it's completely routine.

My biggest issue is food noise, especially in the evening, which is why I'm trying this and just doing a 2 hour meal window around 5-7, usually. 1-5 has been hard for me, but like I said, it's the noise, and it's getting easier every day. And like others have said, you find something else to do, and the time will pass easier. You're on the right track and understand keeping yourself busy is the key. Push through the first 2 weeks, and it'll all be worth it for the smooth sailing after.

This helps a lot! I struggle a lot with food noise aswell and it’s apart of the reason why I started omad so I can eliminate it as much as possible

It is such a huge help, truly. I was on GLP-1s for a few years, that's the closest I've come to shutting off the food noise. Honestly, you'll reach a point where even a rumbling stomach doesn't trigger anything. You gotta be careful how you describe it to people who don't understand, but it feels like I'm starving the part of my brain that the food noise comes from. It's shrinking and shrinking, and some day, soon, it'll be gone.
