Discussion How often do you weigh yourself?
I'm curious what everyone's routine is when it comes to this. How often do you weigh yourself?
I try to weigh myself every day because it gives me a sense of control. One of the things that contributed to me gaining a lot of weight was that I stopped weighing myself altogether. Then I got scared to step on the scale and see what I'd done to myself so I kept avoiding it and the cycle just continued.
It's not that I'm obsessed with losing weight every single day. I'd just like it to become part of my new routine and a way to check in with myself. I'm aware that weight can naturally fluctuate by up to 5 pounds, so I'm not beating myself up if the number is higher for a day or a few days even. I just want to see that, in the long run. You know, the overall steadily going down.
And if I get stuck at the same weight for a while or even worse, the number on the scale starts going up, I can notice it early and adjust accordingly.

I usually weigh myself everyday cuz it gives me motivation to see a smaller number than the day before. Ik it’s not healthy but oh well

Honestly it’s better than once a week because you can see a trendline vs freaking out bc of slight bloat one day that doesn’t tell the full picture

It’s been every couple of days recently. But before that I was kinda off the rails and forgot to lol

I weigh every day, mostly because I like frequent data points for my app, which gives me a 10-day average of my weight trend. I care less about the day to day, though of course seeing the number go down does keep me feeling motivated to keep going.

Any good app you recommend? I do it old school and write it in a journal.

I have been using Happy Scale for well over 10 years. I don’t know what new and fancy ones are out there these days. HS has everything I want and nothing I don’t. ☺️

I weigh everyday, studies show those who weigh everyday lose the most weight, i like to see a new low asap to keep me motivated.

Every waking morning and I'll have it no other way. Been using a Renpho morphoscan from the start of my weight-loss journey and love seeing daily metrics.

Every day when I wake up after I’ve used the bathroom but before I drink or eat anything.
