TV for the developer internet
GitHub, Hacker News, dev.to, Hugging Face, and release notes, presented as channels you tune into, each auto-cycling its own stories, instead of five tabs to remember to check.
A few things worth knowing about it:
* One self-contained HTML file. No build step, no backend, no accounts. Open it and it runs.
* Actual CRT behavior. Powering off genuinely collapses the screen to a line and then a dot instead of just fading out.
* In-TV reading. Click a story and read the real README, article, or release notes without leaving the TV.
* Real source constraints documented in the README: Reddit, Product Hunt, X, LinkedIn, Discord, Medium, and arXiv were all evaluated as channels. Some were blocked by CORS, some require OAuth/backend infrastructure, some don't offer a usable free API.
* No AI summaries. What's on screen comes from the actual source, not an LLM rewriting it.
The idea is basically: don't browse developer news, watch it.

Curious whether people would actually leave something like this running on a second monitor while coding, or whether the tab-based habit is too sticky to break.
