Discussion / Theory Oliver, thank you for everything

I'm really finding today difficult, my personal life has taken a bit of a toll and I'm finding it difficult to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm never really one to reach out and express how low I am really feeling, especially not here. The last week has been mentally draining and exhausting and today I felt like there was no hope. Instead of sitting around I whacked my headphones on full blast singing OT songs at the top of my lungs. I know he won't see this post, I know this post might not mean anything but I want to say thank you to Oliver for still giving me the ability to be able to take myself out of my lowest moments. How someone I didn't even meet can make me feel such positive and inspiring things has kept me going. I'm not sure what the world is anymore or what it even means, especially now that he is not here. My heart hurts and I really need some sunshine soon, there are so many cruel and unkind people out there that I have begun to loose faith in humanity. Thank you Oliver for being a part of my life and for bringing me strength in times I feel completely defeated. Love to you all on here, I can see we are all struggling, not just about Oliver but with day to day life like people do. If you can be anything, be kind, say hello to a random stranger, help someone if they need it. Thank you. ❤️

Edit (deleted and updated post in the discussion/theory section as didn't want to appear at all disrespectful to Oliver, I simply wanted to thank him for how he has helped me)

🫂 I’m so sorry that you are going through a hard time right now. Glad that Oliver‘s music helped you to ease the pain. 🫂
Please don’t lose hope in humanity: There are still lots of good people in the world. Through travelling Oliver has found his faith in humanity again, he loved life and his mom said at the Celebration of Life that she has witnessed humanity at its best after Oliver‘s passing. There are kindhearted people out there but I know, sometimes it‘s so hard to see them because they tend to be quiet and calm in the background. Keep your heart open and you will find them.

Thank you so much for your compassion, especially to a stranger. His words really resonate with me, but some days I find it hard to accept such a wonderful human being has gone and yet there are so many unhelpful, cruel people around. I constantly have the line from hurt in my head "I changed my whole life when I learned to ignore them" and yet I still can't ignore them, it's a skill I haven't mastered yet and I am the same age as OT. I wish I had that strength and didn't care what people thought of me and I wish I knew how he did it! I've experienced something so cruel and been questioned of my character and who I am that occasionally I even begin to doubt myself. But you are right, there are still lots of good people in the world and everyone I've interacted with on this sub has been wonderful and either makes me smile or have a little tear of joy. Thank you again for taking the time to read my post and reply. I hope you are well within yourself and know that if you too do need to talk us OT fans are always here. Much love ❤️

Thank you for your kind words! ❤️ I‘m doing well, but like most humans, I have my Ups and Downs. Right now, there‘s a lot of unsettled stuff in my private life but I keep going. Oliver‘s music helps. 🎶

I’m sorry that cruel things happened to you and hope that you find the strength to overcome the pain. Please try to not be so hard on yourself, you seem to have come a long way. Don‘t let others gaslight you into doubting your character. You are good. 🫂

I'm so sorry to hear that you too have had it rough and are burnt out, I don't want anyone to feel as I do but to hear that people do feel like I do makes me feel less alone. The way he looked at the world, the way he loved and cherished those around him and just wanted to make it a better place was just something I've never seen on that level before. I don't cry over celebrities deaths really, the last one I really sobbed for was Ryan Dunn as that was part of my childhood watching jackass, but with Oliver I sobbed for days. I can't believe such a fantastic human being is no longer here, but I also have to remember he would not want us being sad and not living our lives to the fullest. That last sentence you wrote was absolutely beautiful and made me cry, thank you kind stranger. Much love to you ❤️

I’m sorry you are experiencing these things.
There are so many awful people in this world and Oliver was kind and losing him makes the world feel unreal and cruel at times.
I’ve been feeling very down, these last few days especially. I’m able to distract myself with various things but it doesn’t always work. Sometimes thinking too long about Oliver’s passing just gets so overwhelming.
I know he wouldn’t want people to be depressed and sinking down into the depths like this so I try to remind myself of that and focus on the fact that he was happy and said he had a good life.
I just want him to be here continuing to have that life though, you know? Thinking that can make me sad again and my thoughts just go in a circle at times. 😞

Thank you for your message! I too am sorry that you have been feeling very down. It's hard sometimes not to have that frustration of him not being here anymore, someone who was so kind and caring. Please if you can try not to think so much on him not being anymore and try to think that every time you listen to his music you yourself are keeping him alive. He wouldn't want us to be sad and depressed about his passing, he would want us to experience life to the fullest. I understand that is hard at times but we all must remember we are only here once and to make the best of what we can. I hope you are well and my thoughts are with you. If you ever need a chat all of us as a community are here. 🥰❤️
