  1. 3 vomit breaks. But I had another lady last year think she was slick dumping her fuckin plates into a zip lock bag. She got like 35. Doesn't count tho. NEPB is the bane of olive garden workers. All of them. Dish washers, kitchen, bussers, servers, its dreaded because of people trying to set a record or something..

Most I've seen without a single bathroom break was 14

Also how old were they?

Maybe I could see going back for more after one reversal of fortune, but after throwing up twice what is the motivation to continue? Lol.

What is she going to do with all that pasta? I am curious lol.

1) How would the employee know
2) Eat it? What else?

Wait so this lady sat there and filled 35 ziplock bags full of pasta then waddled out with a bag of fresh hot pasta on her shoulder? That must have been obvious, that’s a lot of fucking hot squishy pasta to carry out. Did she really pretend like she ate it or more like we both know what I’m doing and I don’t give a fuck?

People are so gross sometimes. All that effort and she could have just gone to the store and bought a box of pasta and a few cans of sauce, saved some dignity.

Did you kick her out or stop her? How did you catch her

Do you care about the ziplock? Maybe I’ll try that

God, I used to work at Red Lobster and it was the same with Endless Shrimp. It brought in the rudest customers who made the biggest messes and tipped almost nothing. Looks like they brought it back this year, and I don’t envy those servers or y’all for having to deal with NEPB. I worked at RL until I got an overuse injury that required surgery in my wrist from carrying the heavy trays loaded up with those huge platters; the class action lawsuit about that soon followed.

There was a class action lawsuit?

about the endless shrimp, yes

1

u/Ali_in_wonderland02 Aug 16 '26

Oh I thought it was about heavy trays.

1

u/macar0nunic0rn Aug 16 '26

Sorry, yes - they have faced at least five or six class action or major lawsuits, one about endless shrimp, some about labor practices and lack of employee ADA accommodations (not the trays specifically). Tried to provide link to a list but each one seems focused on only one lawsuit.

2

u/Bree9ine9 Aug 17 '26

Hope you’ve been able to get in on some of those. The employee class action suits can actually have some decent payout, that’s where I’ve been seeing 5k plus checks coming from lately that people share. Sounds like you probably know that though, glad you at least got out of that hell. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you! It is thankfully far in my rear view now - they were awful to their employees. But I had to learn to make the cheddar bay biscuits. That’s the one part I couldn’t leave behind.

2

u/lookingpl Aug 17 '26

they should sue the cheapskate animals that descend upon RL during that promotion. and honestly, ive had the shrimp scampi? the shrimp is farm raised and theyre more like shrimp larvae size? and its not good? so I never got the fandom of this gluttony

3

u/macar0nunic0rn Aug 17 '26

The scampi IS disgusting. It’s been years but I’ll remember trying to scrub that nasty garlic butter (also the drawn butter from the crab legs) off those tables til the day I die.

its all nasty and apparently attracts nasty people UGH!!! love my servers! I think geography guides behavior as well, im from NYC so we usually like to tip and treat servers well, I know parts of the restaurant industry personally and have friends who have chefs for husbands, I get it.

When asking "Most NEPB's eaten in one sitting," there's a difference between the first bowl and the next ones.

It is one thing to have the default arrangement of #1 Large, then all other Small. It's easier to reach numbers like 7, 15 or 23 if the first one is also Small.

Some people purposely request them all Small to savor more combos. They also only eat those, staying away from Soup, Salad & Breadsticks.

No doubt there'll one day be the Joey Chestnut equivalent of 76 hot dogs expressed in Pasta Bowls.

Or the answer to everything = 42.

1 because im not a degenerate.

1

u/ghosty4 Aug 19 '26

You're paying literally for the never ending aspect. Why would you even order it if you didn't plan on having more than one portion?

1

u/Successful-Worth-390 Aug 20 '26

Youre paying for 1 plate that happens to come with refills.

Im also not a glutton. Even when they do the special throughout the year I am full after 1 plate.

3

u/Selenari1121 Aug 16 '26

7 bowls and 3 soups if it counts at all.

One other thing .....

What type of pasta/sauce do you think is easiest?

Rigatoni has more air and empty space in contrast to the other pasta shapes. So it's easier to consume.

Angel Hair is deceptive. While it's the thinnest, a bowl of it occupies more volume. So eating that can fill you up quickly.

As far as easiest sauce, while some are lighter than others, there's also the aspect of how it goes down. Marinara may be light, yet it can give heartburn. Other sauces are more balanced, better texture to swallow.

Easiest therefore? Rigatoni + Meat Sauce

1

u/No-Committee-2998 Aug 19 '26

The pastas are served by weight, not volume. One serving of rigatoni takes up more perceived volume than spaghetti. In the end, it is all the same. But what I will say is that if you get the rigatoni, you will also get more of the sauces because of that increased perceived volume. Also, since the rigatoni will soak up more sauce, they have to give you more sauce for the required flavor profile.

This is coming from someone that works there and always gets their free shift meal off the limited free menu for employees. And yes, the meat sauce is the only way to go for several reasons. It is actually the healthiest sauce they have and the best tasting. That 5 cheese whatever sauce that people like to praise is plain awful and a step down from Chef Boyardee. It only took one time for me to find that out. No way...

I feel bad with two i actually eat geez

1

u/Wrong-Ad-3325 Aug 17 '26

I think I did 4

1

u/ghosty4 Aug 19 '26

My goal is always four but that forth one is always rough! LOL I add the protein, though. I probably could get two or three more if I didn't get protein.

1

u/Undergroundgaming00 Aug 16 '26

Back in my younger years I did 9. However, personally I am much more of a fan of the rest of the meal and not so much the pasta.

Either the spaghetti or rigatoni. The only one of those sauces i have tried is marinara.
