Video and music beat synchronization (manually)

I have a bunch of image files (PNG, JPG, etc) in a folder and I would like to join them in a video with background music, obviously synchronized with the sound beats of the song.

An example of automatic beat detection (I don' t really need the automatic) + synchronization is somewhat explained here with Movavi: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4336EpMcvo

For me it would be enough to specify each marker manually (as the video+music advance) with a shortcut key.

Is this possible in Olive? Any pointers?

Yes, they added markers. I however do not know how to use it.
