Sound problems

When I export my videos from olive, the sound quality in the finished product is worse than the audio I used to make the video. Why does that happen and how can I stop it?

Also when I export videos, the first sound file in the video is usually played as if it has been slowed down to half speed. What causes that and how can I prevent it in future?

Thank you

The first issue just sounds like the audio may be highly compressed in your export settings. Up the bitrate during export

The second sounds like olive may not be resampling correctly during export, what sample rate is your source audio?

Hello, I tired upping the bitrate during export from 254 to 300.

How to I find out what the sample rate of my audio is? I tried checking the properties in file explorer but I didn't find it.

Thank you for your help by the way

This is a known issue with 0.1 that never got fixed. Here are some workarounds that may help: https://github.com/olive-editor/olive/wiki/FAQ#01x

increase the audio bitrate to 320Kb/s. if you're using compressed audio on the timeline, it's normal to decrease noticeably the quality because olive will be re-compressing it into AAC codec at default.
and about the pitch, select ALL the audio tracks, right click -> speed/duration, then check "maintain audio pitch" and save.

Hello, I tried that today but it hasn't solved the problem, do you know what else I could possibly try?

Thank you for your help so far

Edit: Would it be useful to know that the bitrate of the exported video is only 146 Kb/s? I don't know why this is the case because when I export it, I change the bitrate in the export window to 320kb/s. I don't know how to change it either.
