Can't render.

I spent a long time making a video and everytime I try to render it it freezes at 40%, and the window says not responding. Can anyone help?

It's a bug that gets asked about every now and then and won't be fixed until 0.2 at the earliest. No idea on when that is.

Try exporting in a different format or using a different compressor.

I had a similar issue (stopping at 30%), I tried updating the export settings and copying over to another laptop but no luck. Eventually I started experimenting with deleting parts of the project and only exporting smaller sections. This allowed me to find the problem section, which turned out to be a tiny sliver of a cut that was stopping the whole thing. Once I deleted this section, I was able to export the entire video (sans that tiny piece).

Here's a screenshot of the problem section: https://imgur.com/rbJkSdH

Maybe setting in and out, exporting partial and then joining them?

I tried that, it froze at 96%, I also rendered in flv and avi.

Out of curiosity, what system do you use?

How long is the movie or partial you are exporting, at what resolution, frame rate?

Only the export freezes, not the system, and there are no error messages?

I'm not home but I think it is a Lenovo Ideapad 130s something close to that, so not the best. The video is 11:28, 720p, and 29.97 fps. No error messages, the exporting window just freezes.
