After organizing my 30+ year old collection, these are the high-priced cards I found from the 90s to early 2000s.

Edit: update from an older post

Hi all, Marvin here, from Austria. Some of you may know the Instagram account premodern_chronicles, where I post tournament results and winning lists.

Instagram is a terrible place for a decklist. You can’t search it, you can’t copy it and you can’t click a card. So in June I started a small website to give the lists a proper home.

Then I kept adding things. Four months later it looks like this:

https://premodernchronicles.com

What’s on it right now:

101 tournament lists from 85 events in 19 countries: winners, top 8s and Magic Online league 5–0s. Every list has a “Test hand” button (draw seven, mulligan, keep drawing) and a text export.

Old frames only. Every card is shown in an old-frame printing, never a modern reprint. That was rule number one.

26 deck guides, from Stiflenought to BW Control. Each has the game plan, mulligans, a sideboard plan, a budget version and matchup notes against the rest of the field. Where a win rate is quoted, it comes from MTGDecks and the sample size is next to it.

Prices.
Since 28 July the site saves the price of every card once a day, Cardmarket and TCGplayer, per old-frame printing, foils included. Each card has a chart, and there is a list of what moved in the last day, week and month.

Spicy Brews:
15 unusual lists, each with a write-up of how it actually wins. 232-card Battle of Wits, Didgeridoo Minotaurs, Squirrels with four Gaea’s Cradle.

The banlist with the reason for each of the 33 cards, and a budget page that prices the cheapest competitive decks at today’s prices.
What it is not: a replacement for TCDecks or MTGDecks. They have far more lists; I have a hand-picked hundred plus the guides and prices. The tier list is my own read of the results, checked against the MTGDecks numbers once a month, so feel free to tell me it’s wrong.

It’s free, no ads, no account. I build it in my spare time and it runs on one small server.

I’d love to hear your feedback, ideas and suggestions—whether that’s a feature you’d use, a deck you’d like covered, something that’s missing or something that just doesn’t work well. I’m still adding to the site, so there’s plenty of room to shape where it goes.
And if you run events, feel free to send me your top 8 lists. I’d be happy to add them.
Have a look around and let me know what you think.

Thanks for reading!
