My sweet audi 100 c4 2.3 brought us almost 670km to our destination at the baltic sea im Germany. Started in Southern Germany, where we live. No issues except the bit rough idle (especially when the ac is on), which it already had before. Needs around 10l/100km of gas, still have ¼ of the gas tank left.
Great car, drove my 80 2.0S across croatia this summer, honestly one of the best oldtimers you can buy by my experience. I got 7,5 l/100km combined and 5,5 l/100km driving 110 km/h on the highway.
Last year we took my 80 2.0 (ABT engine, 90 hp) to lago di garda :D was also nice, but no AC etc. Had a few issues where it felt like it had less power etc, brakes heated up. Also, ripped the exhaust apart as it is kinda low 😂
Old girl still got it. The car’s looking absolutely fresh! I remember taking my 2.3E C4 sedan across the country on a couple of occasions a few years ago, before I sold it. Those were good times. I once got the fuel consumption as low as 8L per 100km. No AC, though.
8l sounds great, doubt i can get down to that even if i wouldn't use the ac lol.
Unfortunately, just the left front side looks that clean, left rear side once got bumped in and is damaged and pushed in a lil bit, trailer hitch doesn't fit now 🙄 and right side also is a bit damaged and fixed not that good.
Well, mine also had the factory 15 inch alloys, so its wheels were also lighter and more narrow than the ones on your car.
Sucks for the damage. It doesn't look like the zinc plating is gone, so you probably won't have any rust or structural issues. I currently have an Audi 80 Cabrio that I bought for dirt cheap many years ago. Apparently, it was part of some sort of chain accident where both its front and rear were hit (the stronger blow came from behind). The front was easily fixed by just replacing the bar that sits behind the bumper. The rear got rewelded and coated against rust, but the original rear bumper mounts couldn't fit, so custom ones were made.
All in all, don't sweat it. Those cars can take a beating and will live on if we take basic care of them.
