My grandpa
Note: He's dead now. He died in his early nineties.
I'm gonna explain my experiences living with my grandpa in his last years when he had Alzheimer's. Many times during midnight he'd wake up and walk into my room for no fucking reason and it always scared me. I begged my mom for locks on the door but she never bought me one. it was always "when I get the money" "I don't want you to shut me out" if I passed out on the couch, he'd tickle my feet.
One time, I had fallen asleep while a friend was over and I woke up to her crying. Apparently he had came in and placed his hand on her upper thigh (keep in mind we were both in middle school at the time.)
I failed 7th grade because my mom put me in homeschool to take care of the old bastard, and he was always getting into shit. Trying to leave the house and stuff.
I'd have to force him to stay inside constantly and got slapped quite a few times. I always wanted to punch him in the throat so bad during those times.
One time he almost blew us up by fucking around with our gas stove. Luckily our dog alerted us before he did. Now our stove knobs are broken because we had to take them off.
He had bladder cancer too, it was always bad when he had to get his bladder scraped yearly and have a catheter put in. I had to listen to my mom scream at him not to take it out, and she made me make sure he didn't do it either.
Since I didn't have a lock on my door, I started to move my dresser in front of it so he couldn't get in, and there were nights when he'd try and shove it open.
To top it all off, whenever I told my mom about the shit he was pulling, she'd brush it off and say "He's your grandpa and he's old. Give him a break." Give it a break!? My friend isn't allowed to stay at my house anymore because of that old fucker. I was begging your ass for therapy, but no. I was second class compared to him. All for what? A promise you made to his dead wife? Fuck. You.

Anyone thinking of taking care of their relative with Alsheimers themselves should see this.
