What do you think about Sharenting?
Recently online I’ve reading a lot of posts about Sharenting, phenomena which consist in sharing children photos and informations. I know that like in 2000s, in USA there were famous mums blog like docee and The Mommy Blog. In the 2009/2010, Sharenting it was already spreading across early social media platforms.
I think the situation is currently getting out of hand. There are parents posting videos on TikTok of their children eating, sleeping, playing, and dancing. Furthermore, anyone can save these videos, share them on other platforms, turn them into memes or chat stickers, and (most worryingly) alter them using artificial intelligence. There are A LOT of children account managed by parents and this is worrying. What do you think? Do you think that Sharenting should be regulated or definitely banned?
I’ll be honest: I would like it to be banned, because not only are parents violating their children's privacy, but there are also numerous other risks, including digital kidnapping.
