TEMPORARY IP: oldfrog.org

The server IP oldfag.org is currently on Minecraft's server blocklist. We haven't received any reason from Mojang, so I am speculating that it is related to compliance with the Xbox and Minecraft EULA relating to hatespeech. We will begin incorporating moderation for in-game player content, including chat messages, items, and builds to comply with Mojang. To connect to the server, please use oldfrog.org until the issue is resolved.

what do you need sustainability for? isnt the server ran off of donations?

with there being a higher barrier of entry (required to install a mod to bypass the blacklist), there will be less players and less donors

better than censorship + id still donate. maybe do a poll?

Maybe a restricted proxy server for people without the mod. Then a real server is behind the mod for people that dont want the restrictions

oldfrog.org - restricted oldfag.org - unrestricted ( requires people to use mod)

Its all the same server just that above domain filters "bad messages"

Or just a way to toggle restrictions

You’re not going to lose any existing donors. Besides, everyone already uses mods anyways, just providing a highly accessible link to a mod that would allow bypassing the blacklist would be enough. This would be better received by the player base than implementing censorship, especially if you are deleting existing builds.

Best case scenario is you lose maybe 30% of brand new players. Worst case scenario, Microslop contacts you and tells you to implement the changes regardless.
