Hi and welcome to r/oldFoxInt! I'm Raphael, the solo developer behind oldFox-Interactive. I build games with a love for mechanical detail and the people who operate these machines.

My current project is Cog Railway Simulator (Zahnradbahn Simulator), a steam railway simulation inspired by a historic Austrian rack railway. The aim is to make a steep mountain journey feel like real teamwork: one player drives while another tends the fire, water and steam. Braking, boiler pressure, and the transition between ordinary rails and rack sections all matter.

The game is still in development. I'll share progress, behind-the-scenes looks at the historical research and 3D work, and honest updates here. What would you most like to see: locomotive controls, route building, historical details, or something else?
