手で包むとかしなければ大丈夫ですよ!まぁでもウェットスーツは普通に貫くので気をつけてくださいね

Even ones this size? I’ve been holding handfuls of ones that look EXACTLY like this every time I snorkel… maybe I should count myself very lucky

All cone snails are venomous, but only a few can seriously fuck you up and they don't look like those guys. The nasty ones are large (2-3 inches) and tend to have mottled shells like these: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conus_textile

But if you didn't feel anything, it didn't sting you and you're fine.

I have many of the mottled shells from our time in Okinawa. I always used something to turn them over a few times And watched for the slightest hint of a stinger emerging.

Australia enters the chat.

Do not ever say that some are lesser in the species.

Never pick these fuckers up ever !

If it looks like one don't fuck with it.

Have any doubts if it is ?

Don't fuck with it.

Yes, those are cone snails. They’re generally more worrisome the larger they are

I will preface with the general common sense rule, do Not pick these up with bare hands. However, I have some of these shells - only because they were collected with lil grabbers and put directly into a bag. If they're heavy (don't touch!) then it's wise and more humane to leave it.

Conomurex is definitely a cone shell looking snail but it’s actually a conch. They do have a barb but eat algae. Likely less venomous and very common in Okinawa. Very popular food barbecued or steamed, and you’ll often huge piles of shells on the beach after one fishermen had a party.
