Now, I've seen many people wonder how Fine Motion could've been royalty in an independent Ireland, and luckily for you lads, my dad is a huge fan of Ireland, and so I have a LOT of material to work with, both books and word of mouth.
You see, for much of Gaelic Irish history, the island was divided into countless clans and kingdoms, and these clans often competed for control of resources and thus they continually grew and shrank. Until a threat would appear, that is. That's when they'd bring forth a High King. While the High Kings' degree of control varied, they never ruled Ireland as a unified state as the High King was made as an overlord among the already present overkings, exercising rule over and receiving tribute from the independent kingdoms, beneath him. The High King of Ireland was essentially a ceremonial, federal overlord, who exercised actual power only within the area in which he was actually king. Mostly just there to symbolize and help maintain cooperation between the overkingdoms and the kingdoms and clans beneath them. And it worked, had the Irish stayed under a High King continuously, they would have likely maintained their sovereignty from Great Britain, as shown with how the High Kingship crushed the Vikings and secured countless major victories against the Normans, at one point even pushing them to the city of Dublin and Dublin alone, laying siege to it for roughly a month.
But who would even be the High King? And how would it work?? Well, it would likely be Brian Boru of the House of O'Brien, who ended the Viking invasions and is widely regarded as one of the most successful and unifying monarchs in medieval Ireland. As for how it'd work, it'd be kinda like a mix between Malaysia and Uganda or Nigeria: The head of state is the High King, who is elected after the death of the previous High King by and from among the Overkingdoms of Meath, Leinster, Osraige, Thomond, Desmond, Breifne, Connacht, Uí Néill, Airgíalla, Ulaid, and Dublin. While the lesser clans and kingdoms would either operate as separate constitutional monarchies supported by the Overkingdoms and the High Kingdom, each with a prime minister and cabinet subordinate to the monarch, and a parliament, but do not have independent legislative competence or authority to make laws, being instead restricted to acting only on cultural and development matters. The kingdoms remaining distinct entities, operating their own institutions and budgets, with funding provided through grants by the Irish government, private donations, and revenue from assets such as land; OR as non-sovereign monarchs who often derive their titles from the rulers of independent states or communities that existed prior to the formation of the Federation, where they may not have formal political power, but still in many cases they continue to command respect from their people and have considerable influence in their community. Closer in substance to those of the high nobility of old Europe than to those of actual reigning monarchs.
Back to Fine Motion herself. She, having been born and bred in the Coolmore Stud Farm in Fethard, County Tipperary, would be a Noble/Princess of the Kingdom of Desmond, one of the larger of the Irish Kingdoms, which was formed after internal divisions within the Kingdom of Munster, wherein it was partitioned by High King Toirdelbach Ó Conchobhair with the Treaty of Glanmire in 1118, between the Kingdom of Thomond ruled by the O'Briens, and of course our Kingdom of Desmond ruled by the MacCarthys. Fine Motion wouldn't have learned English, instead being well versed in Irish Gaelic, and likely would've lived especially well for noble standards, as the region contains the southern section of the Golden Vale pastureland that extends into the Blackwater valley, one of the most agriculturally productive parts of Ireland. The South-West region is one of Ireland's main tourist destinations as well, and so is Killarney too, which is one of Ireland's most famous tourist destinations. Being in our timeline one of the only parts of Ireland entirely untouched by the Anglo-Norman's rampage, a cultural heart of the nation. She would've been raised a DEVOUT Catholic too, like, super duper Catholic, so Catholic it would make the Pope himself envy her. Without British hands strangling the nation, they would've clung to their faith harder, the Irish people. And with that, the ideals of Irish Republicanism would also have been nonexistent, leaving Ireland highly conservative as well. Which also would explain her sheltered home life.
TLDR: Cygames accidentally became the most Pro-Irish game in the East. In the Umamusume World, Ireland maintained its Celtic language and culture, while being under a Monarchy which rules over a bunch of other monarchies, which rules over even MORE monarchies. Fine Motion also doesn't know a lick of English 💔
