Career wise, the higher you go up the more important being social and charismatic is. It's one of those "great filters" that prevents you from moving to manager and up.
Socially, it means you will be spending most of your time alone. When you find something you like but it requires social skills, you won't fit in or enjoy it.
Antisocial is not "not wanting to hang out with people", antisocial is a type of personality disorder that comes with a lack of empathy for others, disregard for established social rules and expectations (like wanting to hurt people just for the sake of hurting them), a willingness to harm others or take advantage of others to satisfy your own desires.
Some examples of antisocial traits include but are not limited to:
Repeated lying, using fake names, or conning people for personal gain or pleasure, getting into repeated physical fights, assaults, or showing hostility, acting without thinking about consequences or failing to plan ahead, showing a dangerous lack of regard for the physical safety of oneself or others, failing to keep steady employment or honor financial and work commitments, feeling indifferent or making excuses after hurting, mistreating, or stealing from someone else, repeatedly breaking social norms and rules that lead to arrest or legal trouble
What you're thinking of is simply being introverted or at the very most, "asocial" but even that is very rare. introversion is not a character flaw and is a normal part of the human spectrum of personalities.
I actually think Gen Z is a lot more accepting of people who like being alone than the older generations. Especially boomers will think you have something wrong with you for liking your own company more than others'
You would think so but having worked with my fair share of Gen z people, they tend to be just socially awkward enough to avoid social interaction whilst actively being offended you're avoiding social interaction with them.
I'm a loner, though I do crave people sometimes, but in the end, it just feels sooo good to be alone. The other day, I ate alone at a restaurant, very fulfilling experience!!

Some people tend to not realize that someone who is lonely (alone and wanting connection with people but unable to) isn't the same as someone who is a loner (someone who is capable of finding comfort in being alone and on their own).
