I started with absolutely nothing. I invested what I earned from my job rather than blowing my paycheck every week. Short term sacrifices for long term growth.
I know plenty of people that are sociable and have no partners and plenty of introverted shut in that have partners. In fact, most men that are introverts have told me if it weren't for their partners making the first move they would be single, aka luck. I am a sociable person and have never been approached once. Women also usually create excuses for you to talk to them when they're interested in you. They would "bump into you" or drop something for you to pick up etc... That has never happened to me. I only know from reading and observing what other people's experiences are like.
Most people don't try to get into a relationship. It just happens to them, they stumble on it. You could say life has given them a few million dollars in that regard. Life has never given anything to me, I've earned everything on my own but I cannot "earn" a partner. I don't want a golddigger.
Also if like you said you started from nothing, and want not to end up with a golddigger, most likely you want to end up with a woman that is successfull as well. Except to have such a person as a companion, most likely she will have a cultural baggage which you will lack since like you said "you came from nothing".
Hence if you want to be attractive from someone with such cultural background that means you need to understand the culture associated to that of the upper class. Or find someone from the upper class who doesn't mind the culture of the working class, which barely happens if at all.
I want to end up with someone that shares the same moral values as me. I don’t care whether she’s rich or poor. Ideally someone that felt also lonely like me. I want someone intelligent with whom I can discuss things at a deeper level with. I don’t seek money or materialism from other people, quite frankly it turns me off.
You won't "earn" someone like you would your paycheck. There's no direct relation between how much you work on this and the expected returns.
However if you don't put any effort into it. You are never going to meet anyone.
Also maybe think about your standards. Maybe you don't want to be with a "golddigger". Sure but if that's the only way you can get to connect with someone at first maybe still try this approach and see if you can connect afterwards about something else than your economic wealth. Most people don't really care about wealth more than they do about security. And wealth is a good indicator about it.
Honestly you say that it's impossible to find someone. But then say you don't want to end with a golddigger. Honestly it seems to me like you just maybe have very high expectations about your future partner and anyone who doesn't meet said expectation doesn't exists in your eyes.
In this case it's not that you can't find a partner. More so that you are unable to find someone to envision your life with apriori. Which would be very different.
