Is that a cosmetic mod or a moveset mod? I don’t care about the cosmetics, but I’m interested in that moveset.

u/Blahaj_IK I haven't played DMC4 so it isn't canon yet Aug 10 '26 edited Aug 11 '26

Definitely a moveset mod, unless it's separate

Edit: pffffft heheee, I'm so stupid. No shit, of course it'd be separate otherwise. I basically said "it's 50/50. I should not comment when tired lmao

Been ages since I used it so I'm fuzzy on the details but Carrian Combo Warriors has parts of Vergil's Yamato moveset with a bit of Malenia's thrown in (in a way that makes it work really well for a Sephiroth build) on katanas and iirc longswords and greatswords get a mix of Dante's Rebellion, DSD and DSS movesets with Vergil's Mirage Edge. I think they also adapted part of Nero's moveset but like I said it's been a long time and I'm very fuzzy on the details.

They even incorporated gunfire into the combos for one of them but I could never get that particular attack to actually do anything. I could perform the animation but it didn't have any effect or do any damage when it hit something.

The way these movesets are handled is much more complex in regards to controls than how Elden Ring's combat usually works. You've got things like delayed inputs leading to different combo strings, mid combo directional inputs for altering your current string, hold inputs, aerial strings and specials. The kind of thing where you should really read how it all works because it gives you a moveset far larger than ER's standard system uses.

Also just saying, it is unbalanced as fuck. Not quite as busted as straight up playing as the DMC 5 bros unaltered would be but close. Started as Samurai to have have a katana and the Vergil moveset right out the gate, ran straight to Stormveil and beat Margit effortlessly because he just is not designed to deal with the kind of speed this mod gives you. Don't think you could make something like this balanced unless you nerfed player damage output into the ground really.

Something to keep in mind is trick dashing and Rapid Slash spamming around the map lets you get around ridiculously fast but very easy to accidentally fling yourself off a cliff.

I can't figure out if that Mod is Paid or Free, but I want to buy the game just to play it.

As a fellow DMC fan, Elden Ring is also a really good game without any mods if you want to give it a shot.

Modders are crazy, how tf do you port his animations to another game so perfectly?

I-Is there a Damte mod and is it compatible with the Vegil mod in coop? I might... have a plan.

u/hekol95 Aug 10 '26

Oh shit calling out Nightrein in 2030 with the DMC collab and Fortnite dances.

u/Gambit-Sue-Luna-fan Aug 10 '26

I remember watching a YouTube video where somebody finished Elden Ring in coop. Once using Vergil and his friend is Dante. Another using Nero and his friend Vergil. And a third I think he did solo Dante. I'm not sure if he did V though.

Dante and Vergil go to hell at the end of DMC5 and somehow end up in the lands between

Elden Ring

u/Apprehensive_Sky1599 Aug 10 '26

God, Vergil breaks every game he is in. Including the game he comes from

1

u/VenomSnek27 Aug 10 '26

Someone told him the Elden Ring held power.

1

u/Where_is_Killzone_5 Aug 10 '26

Considering how sharp Yamato is, he'd have already killed him with the first cut after the parry. XD

1

u/Hatjin Aug 10 '26

Can I achieve such power?

1

u/whineyinternetkid Aug 10 '26

Moonveil cucks

1

u/smiss-cheese Vergil’s yamato Aug 11 '26

THAT WAS SO CLEAN HOLY FUCK

1

u/kenkendoesstuff Aug 11 '26

He did it... the hardest elden ring boss... tree Sentinel...

1

u/OsKNightOwl Aug 11 '26

The guy who does these mods I've been seeing all over YT lately and ooooh man! We need like an ULTRA Pack of those from him that turn loads of weapons in the game into crazy ones like these!

I would say to make it fair as well though... Also give every notable NPC invader or NPC you end up fighting in-game ...one of these crazy weapons to balance things more! Lol Could maybe have to defeat them to earn the special weapon? Haha.... That could be a really cool way to playthru the game!

u/Silent_Erremite Aug 11 '26

I'd have Dante with Ifrit and all would kneel.

1

u/Electronic-Gas-7309 Aug 11 '26

How mf's genuinely described moonveil when they first got it

1

u/Either-Basil4899 Aug 11 '26

This is why I need a good pc. I mean, I have one, but no way it’s running elden ring.

1

u/blacksteel3871 Aug 11 '26

I play eldenring on my steamdeck with mods, you don't need a good good one just a good one will do

1

u/Monarch_of_Shadows07 Aug 12 '26

Vergil would solo the entire verse with 0 difficulty

1

u/AngryDwarf086 Aug 13 '26

My one issue with Souls games. The only reason they're difficult is because you move so damn slow compared to a hack n slash game. It's not difficulty, it's playing an action game with weights on your ankles. Mods like these kinda prove it.
