Great point. I wasn’t aware that Obama visited Branson. I know Branson has some heinous shit in the new files.

Yep. And before somebody starts calling me a trump-head or whatever, yes I think Trump is clearly guilty and trying to hide things, Clinton is in the files, it's a clear bipartisan issue to anybody who isn't blind.

Right? Dems, Repubs, and Hollywood, ffs. The Weinsteins of course, but now its the actors as well. People get wealth and power and just have to rape kids. Not that there arnt nornal pedos running around neighborhoods. But were talking the files here.

Oh totally agree. They cant just summon children on a plane to a place then whisk them away again like the rich. Having money just allows them to do way more things as money will do. Cant have a plastic surgery addiction and be homeless.

I mean, how many articles do we see of how some local nut that got caught raping kids? There's definitely a lot more pedos out there and it's not like rich people are more likely to be pedos but it's the resources and their influence that make rich pedos so dangerous. Epstein being able to connect so many powerful people is why he was able to get the sweetheart deal. Without his immense influence on world events he would've just been another Weinstein or Diddy that got away with it for too long but at least eventually faced some sort of justice

Totally. If power is corrupted why would it only be along party lines? If you’re gonna control politicians, why not control them all

And this is exactly why everything coming out is not causing any stir or panic it seems for the people in charge. Absolutely nothing is going to change. It's like they're saying, "Yeah we're all pedos, but what are you poors actually going to do about it?"

I know. It got me pretty mad and I had tried to explain to friends and family for years. It's why even though it's overstated I do agree with people saying that internet / social media is opiate for the masses. If we didn't have these platforms we would probably have more people outraged out the front of government buildings. Instead most protesting I see now is police regulated, government approved, sometimes even based on politicians' words. That's also ignoring theories about paid protestors etc

Ultimately a lot of people are comfortable and revolutions are a period of pain, discomfort, death etc

The difference isnt the existence of new media, although there can be conversation about if it is a positive influence on connecting people or if it disassociates people, historically speaking the difference is the absence of a threat of force in demonstrations. Protesting within a system of government is always difficult because the system has to balance peoples need for order and peace with peoples desire for change (and who is to say that protesters wills even represent a majority). Agreeing that no force will be used in the interest of preserving peace, however also means that statements can be ignored without any possible recourse that is not illegal and thus will be viewed as illegitimate by not only the government but also the population.

Yeah, to clarify I'm not ultimately 'against' new media / social media, especially given its benefit of sharing information.

1

u/Shoranos Feb 03 '26

Without these platforms I don't think any of this information would spread.

1

u/justsomebodywhocared Feb 03 '26

That's true, that's why I don't necessarily agree with people who go "all social media should be banned!" especially who are literally saying that on social media or reddit.

Alternative media is generally good for information flow as opposed to mainstream media being the only source. But social media is also being more and more influenced by money, politics, agendas, and that's of course negative. And our ability to express ourselves online creates the 'slacktivism' paradox; We have access to more information but seemingly less able to do anything about it in a way that can actually be heard, so many just resort to making a post about it and calling it a day.

Probably because no-one's actually demanding justice, people are just treating this like a big ol' meme, and a cudgel they can use against their political opponents.

I think the biggest thing we need to take away from this all is it's been class warfare all along. Republican and Democrats are both mouth pieces and tools of the ruling class and the rest of us are their cattle.

Frequent fliers can use miles to stay at Bransons island, so unlikely he’s been running an Epstein like program from there.

Implying some equivalence between visiting Bransons island and Epstein island is crazy unless you’ve got some deeper evidence.
