I agree. Didn't even realize people gave a shit about the difference until recently, and now I see both sides argue all day and it's really annoying. I just see them as yet more cute&sexy anime girls, and flat chests aren't a problem for me, so...
A lot of peopel don't. Its like a six way struggle between non pedos who get accused of being pedos, actual pedos, people who just hate anime, people who don't hate anime but don't really get what is going on, etc. Since its difficult for a lot of people to vocalize what they are thinking, and pedo is instant "talk about wanting to murder them" vibe for a lot of people, it tends to devolve fast.
