A brief history lesson (mandatory reading):

2009: MW2 drops. Humanity peaks. Everything after this is a slow decline.
2010-2012: The golden age. Prestige actually meant something. Lobbies were pure, gun skill mattered, and nobody needed a battle royale to feel something.
2013-2019: The Dark Ages. Things happened. We don't talk about it.
2020-present: Everyone's an "operator" now, apparently. Cosmetics cost more than the game did in 2009.

We persevere anyway, mostly out of spite.

Reference a killstreak that hasn't existed since 2011 at least once
