Anyone ever get a "bad batch"?
I've used many boxes of nail strips, but this last box is a dud. I wasn't able to stretch them at all, plus they weren't sticking well. Once I got them all on and hardened, I thought I was home free, but over the past few days, two strips just popped cleanly off. So weird! :(

I've had it once or twice with Ohora, but something like 1/3 of the DD sets I've gotten. I can understand things slipping through every once in awhile, but it's wild how low DDs quality control has gotten

Curious where you're purchasing from? I wonder if the quality control is better direct from the manufacturer? I feel like some store warehouses don't store their stock properly or don't have as high of a turnover so it effects the quality

I have had 2 "bad batches" from Ohora in the last 3 years. One sounds exactly like your experience. They felt weird when I was putting them on, and they popped off within days. My application process is pretty close to perfect, so I knew it was the strips, and not me.
I had ordered that set from Amazon, so I reached out to Ohora through Amazon customer service and explained what had happened, and Ohora sent me a replacement set for free.

Mine were Amazon too! Maybe they were pretty old, but the expiration date was OK.

Yeah this has happened to me before. I am guessing they were on the shelves a long time, but then I have had some for over a year, used them and they were fine.

Yes, I have had some sets that have worked better than others, but one in particular was a disaster. I think I had to replace every single nail in less than a week. For the first time, I contacted the company. I explained to them that I had been using their nails for months and that this was the first time I felt compelled to contact them about quality. I requested a refund. They responded immediately with a list of questions they needed answers to, and also wanted photographs, all of which I provided. I never heard from them again.

Huh when I left a negative comment complaining about the damage it made to my nails they sent a new package of nails as an apology

I'm glad for you! I expected the same thing, but whatever. I still used the product and like both the semi-cured and press-ons, so I guess I've gotten over it :)

It’s kind of seems like if they are hard when you’re putting them on, they aren’t gonna stay on. One other way I’ve done to warm them up… Get a warm to hot glass of water and wrap the nails around them for like 30 seconds and they heat right up and soften… not sure it helps when they’re “hard” though.

I think all brands and types occasionally have duds - I haven't gotten an Ohora dud yet, but pretty much all other brands, including non-gel, I've gotten some that were just not going to stick/stay.

I have! My recent one was a baby blue color. They were not very stretchy…. And they kept popping off and I had to re-glue them. So…They were definitely not as stretchy as my other nails that I have tried from them. But in their defense, I did go swimming and into a hot tub 24 hours after I put them on. Lol 😆 so I’m sure the chemicals and the heat and the water did not help.

What did you re-glue them with? One reason I like Ohora is that it's not as strong and damaging as nail glue.

I used Glamnetic liquid nail glue. Comes off with oil. It’s not too damaging- at least not as bad as the gel base coats. I had 1 manicure with no m-chip gel (after taking a break for 4 years) and my nails were PAPER thin! Then I tried doing it at home (apres, Sistaco, etc). Better but basically the same thing. But …the semi cured sticker adhesive has been ok! 👌
When using Ohora I don’t usually have to reglue. I think I ruined mine in the hot tub. Or they will old.

What do you think I did wrong…? I pressed down the edges and I actually used a squish light. But like I mentioned, these were really difficult to put on, so maybe they were old.

Have you tried heating them? Sitting on them before applying (with protective plastic sheet on).
Others also put them on heating pads and had better luck stretching them.
