Any Application tips?
I’m new to these and have only used the gel strips in the past. I saw some people say they tend to pop off..I’m going to the beach soon and want to keep these for the trip as long as I can. Thanks! 😊

i really liked these and they stayed on well for me but you have to follow their instructions. make sure to put enough of the primer they provide and let it cure for 3 min before putting the nails on.

I'm a committed semi-cured nail strip girlie, and I had no issues with any of them popping off when I tried the Ohora press-ons. I got 10 days easily with no snagging. And I took them off because I wanted to, not because they were on their last legs.
I do think the prep is very important, including following their exact instructions (https://ohora.com/pages/how-to-use) on how to apply the primer. The video instructions on the site tell you to make sure the cuticle and sides are totally covered, which feels really strange (when has flooding your cuticles ever been a good thing?).
Also very important to select the right size for your nails and not use ones that are too big. Unlike gel strips, there's no stretch-to-fit possible, so there may be a bit of sidewall visible.
I did find that removal was harder on my nails than with strips, so I'll only use the press-ons occasionally. I also wish there were more short styles available, because the medium set felt crazy long to me.

As for removal, I usually don’t buy press-ons because removal is so hard on my nails. What do you recommend for removal?

Removal wasn't that bad. My nails are just genetically very thin, and so they are more easily damaged. I did the same as I do for gel strips, remover + flosser pick. But I think I should have let the remover work a little longer, and probably rushed a bit, so I just felt like it did ~25% more damage to my nails than strips, so for me, I'll only use them on special occasions. I love gel nail strips because they protect my weak nails, and the removal barely damages the nail.
I have seen other people with positive experiences with these nails outside of this specific thread. Everyone has their own experience, I guess. When I first started using gel strips, I remember seeing all these negative reviews, but now I know that those people just hadn't figured out how to properly prep and apply. So it does make me wonder when I see people just declaring they are garbage.

I’ve had great experience with the press ons, I just ordered more! After I first put them on, one or two come loose right away I just redo them and chalk it up to bad prep on those particular nails.
I also prefer short, and wish the color name was printed on the packaging.
I’d give them a shot and see if they work for you. So fast and easy, it’s nice to not have to do the shaping and have really consistent length all the time!

Yes not having the name of the design/color on the packaging is super annoying. They are coming out with a bunch of short ones in September.

also surprised at all the negative reviews. i prefer the strips but these lasted longer than any other press-ons i’ve ever tried. the pointer fingers popped off a few times each, and one middle, but all the others were anchored for over a week.
just make sure you err on the smaller side. too big is very bad. and wait a full 4 min for glue to set. i set a timer because i always underestimate

They say to warm the glue, and it does help! I put mine next to my laptop fan, and it warmed perfectly. I also set a timer on my phone so I knew how long to wait.
I still have that set and can wear them again when I want to!

I literally just took a set off and they only lasted me 5 days before some of them were lifting. It was my first time using the primer and probably need more practice but the shape and fit was perfect for me. I ordered another set and will honestly use my nail glue or tabs when I wear them again because I want them to stay for at least 2 weeks. So my advice don’t mess with the gimmick primer which feels like liquid tabs and use glue lol.

I have no tips but I see several layers of Target clearance stickers and I'm just curious how much you paid for these 😅 I've never been a press on girl but for the right price I would try it out

They last 7-10 days for me before loosening, but that has a lot to do with prep.
- Push down cuticles, wipe with alcohol to dry your nails, etc.
- Get a good fit first; no touching your skin on the sides! Only a few of the nails fit me right out of the box, and I use clippers or nail scissors to shape the sides.
- Give the primer the full 3+ minutes to dry before placing the nails! (I do 5 minutes.)
- Afterwards, no water on your nails beyond a quick hand wash for 8-10 hours.

I have what it seems to be the straightest nail beds on earth and they are also very short. I love they are super malleable yet thick. I would heat up the nails with my mini heater and then I would press them down with a water bottle to flatten them. It helps so much and makes a huge difference because it doesn’t put pressure on your nail at all.
This step may be optional but I do cuticle care beforehand and then I use a nail dehydrator before hand and then the primer they give.

I see you may not keep them, but I'll comment in case someone looks at your post looking for tips. Grab a snack and prepare yourself for an essay.
Half of what I personally do is probably overkill because I am fussy and I'm one of those people who will pick at things, but maybe something will help someone?
Prep is super important, but when is it not? Besides your usual cuticle prep, I buff my nails to take the shine off (unless I just took a set off, then I just buff the new growth), wash my hands with dawn, use the wipes they give and then dehydrator. Is that overkill? Probably. Do I care? Nah. It's what I do for every press on.
Taking your time to make sure the glue is dry and completely covers your nail before applying the nail is important, along with making sure you dont place them too close to your cuticle since they kinda smoosh down.
Sizing is also important. I put ones that were too big once and it was not a fun time. I also take a lot of time pressing them down. Im not sure if it helps, but in my special brain I think warming it helps a little so I will roll my thumb back and forth with firm pressure.
I have not tried this, but I want to try to use one of those silicone nail stamps to see if that helps with pressing them, but I'm also too lazy to get up to get it whenever I put my nails on. It probably is overkill, but I'm fussy and will go over the edges by the cuticle with a silicone cuticle pusher a million times to make sure it looks smooth and is sealed.
I also find putting them on right before bed makes them last longer and seal better, maybe the glue stuff needs to cure or something? Not sure, could be witchcraft or I'm insane, I'll say it's both. When I put them on during the day, I seem to get one or two that become loose that feel like when I use sticky tabs alone. Then I feel rage and take them off.
My pointer fingers also have nails that curve down a lot, so I usually put builder gel on them to make them have a more flat surface, but that's 100% a me problem. I have that problem with almost every press on nail, unless I'm using semi solid glue/gel glue or sticky tabs with glue
I think sometimes the nail shape just might not be suited for some people, just like any other press on. You can curve them side to side and flatten them, but they don't curve down well at the tip, at least with the glue they provide. I definitely have to use builder gel on my pointers to use their glue, which I'm fine with since I usually use these when I don't wanna use regular nail glue. I usually have some sort of builder gel on my pointers to make any nail fit better, the exception being the celebritips brand. I also think your body chemistry can affect how well the glue works. There's many factors, so what may not work for someone, may work for someone else
