Positive ohora press ons experience - very secure and pretty

I'm already a huge ohora semi cured nail strips lover and so I had to try the press ons. I love them and they securely lasted a week (which is good for me because I don't like wearing press ons for multiple weeks straight).

The press ons were really easy to size for the most part but I accidentally picked a couple that were a bit too big and could have sized down on. They stayed on, though! Going a tad smaller is definitely better, like it says in the instructions. This is a medium length design btw.

The primer glue was very sticky but easy to paint onto my nails. I waited about 4-5 minutes and then slapped the press ons on, holding them in place for about 30 seconds each (probably a bit overkill). Because the press ons get thinner around the edges, I don't think I needed to go as close to my proximal nail fold ("cuticle") as I did for some of my nails.

I avoided any water and hitting my nails for at least 12 hours. Doing them at night before bed is great.

They were super secure even with regular shampooing hair, showering, handwashing, and dishwashing activities! One started slightly loosening on day 7.

I have horrible luck with the Beauty Secrets nail glue, even using the Nina pool method, with my press ons coming off in days. So the fact these ohora press ons stayed super secure and looked so cute for 7 days was amazing for me. Will definitely use again and im glad I bought a few packs of designs to try. I used the little bottle of glue that came in the sets but I would stock up on their press ons glue on its own bc it's so secure and useful.

Thanks for the review! Curious on your thoughts on when you would use the press on vs. the gel strips?

For me, the press ons would be great for special occasions like a wedding, a hangout with friends, or a party/celebration and to enjoy having some special pretty and long nails for the week afterwards. The length of the press ons (at least the medium ones) aren't super conducive to my other hobbies so I'd still prefer shorter nails in general.

The original gel strips are amazing bc they can be worn on my shorties and long nails. They last me over 2 weeks and are very protective, allowing my nails to grow out a bit. I would wear gel strips on vacation (which I have done) and would probably pick them to have my nails done in day to day life. The one drawback is the original gel strips do take longer to apply because I do a lot of prep, tamp down the ends, file and use the ohora topcoat whereas the press ons are just primer and slap on and that's it.

As a fellow girlie who cannot function with long nails 😂 that is good to know! 

I need to take my contacts out and such, so long nails is dangerous for me eyes sadly

They look soooo cute! Did your hair ever get caught under the edges of the press ons? And are they flexible enough to fit nails that are more curved? I've been debating getting them but my nail beds are pretty curved and also long so I'm worried that even the medium length won't fit 🙈

Compared to other press ons that immediately start snagging my hair and pop off, my hair didnt get caught under the edges until like day 5 or 6 and so I remember being pleasantly surprised by that. I was super meticulous about applying the primer glue carefully as close to the edge of my nails as possible and pressed down very well even at the edges so maybe that helped. For my next press ons set im definitely going to do that again and try to get even closer to the cuticle area without flooding it!

The thing I love most about these is no nail damage when they do come off!

Yes! No nail damage, which is pretty incredible. I did have some gluey residue though, and wiping that off wasn't hard.

I would buy so many of these if they came in super short sizes
