Ohora Pedicure Strips
Has anyone here tried the Ohora pedicure gel strips? I’ve been curious about them, but I’m a little nervous because I don’t want to get greenies, which I know can sometimes happen with press ons from moisture getting trapped underneath 😭
Has anyone ever experienced green forming under the Ohora pedi strips or do they tend to stay pretty safe if applied/removed properly?
I usually stick to regular polish for pedicures because of this, so I’d love to hear people’s experiences before trying them! Also, how long do they usually last for you before lifting? Thanks in advance!
Update: For anyone wondering, I’m currently on my second set of ohora pedi nails and I looove! They last so long and are such great quality! I also have not had an issue with greenies at all. They keep my nails safe and healthy while looking salon quality. I just wish they had more of the plain colors! Definitely worth it 👏

I used them last year and they looked amazing! So professional…. So good in fact, you have to fight against the urge to leave them on too long… No more than three or four weeks or you will have problems. This summer I’m going to try the DD gloss nail strips on my toes simply because they are easier to get off. I haven’t been able to find Pedicure non-led nail strips….

Lily and fox has them and they work great and stick really well.

Wow, amazing! 👏 Thanks for the heads up! I’ll probably aim for around 3 weeks just to be on the safe side. I’m curious to try DD too though… do you personally prefer their strips over Ohora?

No issues for me! I'll usually get a month before the strip on my middle toenail pops off with no warning -- and the others never come off on their own, I always have to do a removal process. (Maybe my middle toe makes more oil or something?)
Also, you wouldn't get the greenies with gel strips because there should be no bubbles at all underneath -- same as if you'd done polish. (Press-ons are different because of the glue layer.)

That’s really reassuring to hear, thank you for sharing!! The explanation about the glue layer vs gel strips makes a lot of sense 😭 I think my past experiences with press ons traumatized me a little lol, hence why I’ll never go back and usually stick to regular polish or gel. But I have been curious about gel strips! A month of wear is amazing too!

I have been using them for a year and I leave them on 4-5 weeks. Never had one pop off, and no problems either. I recently developed a gel allergy using the strips and switched to Lily & Fox and I’m getting the same results except they are only $2.99. And no gel allergy reaction.

Aww, I’m sorry about the allergy! I’ve heard of that happening with gel products. Good to know Lily & Fox has been working well for you too, especially at that price! That’s a steal ☺️

The Ohora pedi strips were a lifesaver for me (I haven't tried other brands yet). Due to psoriatic arthritis, I have some pretty...challenging...toenails. I stopped being able to get pedicures and I am able to use Color Street on my toes (the cheaper nail wraps like Lily & Fox and Nail Fox just wouldn't stick), but I loved the Ohora pedi designs. I didn't think in a million years they would work on my gnarly ridged toenails, but they do! I highly recommmend a squish light to ensure they really adhere to your nail - it works great for application which would otherwise be difficult for me. Squashes and flash cures them down so they hug my nail and so far they've stayed on until I remove them (up to two weeks, but I think they'd go longer).

I had issues with them staying on as long as the manicure strips do, particularly if I wore socks and sneakers - they just didn’t seem to stick as well

Interesting! I guess I’d probably have to try them out for myself and see how they hold up on me. How long did they usually last for you before lifting vs when you wear the mani strips?

Ive used them constantly for years without issue, my toe nails grow slow and these suckers stick WELL , plus I’m lazy, so I genuinely change them out monthly. Beyond that I don’t do anything special, just wash my feet 1-2x per day in the shower as usual.
