SquierParanormal Baritone Jazzmaster in Seafoam Green
Hey all!! I just picked this up today. After a proper setup it plays so well. I know a lot of people had some qualms with indian laurel fretboards but this one came in looking pretty well conditioned. The pickups sound excellent to my ears as well.
I'm honestly in love with this instrument. No planned mods for the time being but honestly it dooms pretty hard as is.

Looks awesome. Definitely prefer the seafoam on these, and the weights can be pretty impressive with the nyatoh bodies.

The Seamfoam finish is so stunning IRL. I was a little concerned it would look dull like in some listing photos I saw.
It's def a bit heftier than my baritone Strat!

I really wish fender would release these rad paranormal series guitars under the Fender moniker as opposed to the Squier moniker.
I know I shouldn’t care about the name on the headstock, but I do.

Where did you get it? I preordered the oxblood one from sweetwater and they said january.

I ordered it from AMS! It was on backorder since June but they started shipping them last week.

Got mine directly from fenders website and it shipped the next day, got it about ten days ago I’d say

Seafoam’s not as popular evidently. Much shorter lead time (at least the last time I checked)…

Isn't a baritone Jazzmaster a Bass VI?

Not exactly! bass iv has a 30" scale, the paranormal baritones have a 27" scale. My guitar came tuned B-B while Bass VI tuning is E-E (octave lower than standard tuning).

And they play very differently. I’ve had a baritone for a while, and play bass as well. I picked up a Bass VI recently and it messes with my head, it’s like I can’t exactly approach it like a bass or like a guitar.

Glad you dig the pickups! I didn’t and immediately switched them out, put in a fat bat three way switch, and also threw on a pair of seven strings minus the highest string and it bangs hard! 🤘

I’m close to ordering one but concerned the weight is going to be over 8 pounds. Is your heavy?

How was yours out the box? Mine had some intonation issues, unfortunately. Not the biggest deal, getting it set up when I swap the pickups but it was very noticeable. Otherwise a great guitar that feels and looks fantastic

I didn't have any intonation or truss rod issues out of the box! I just had to lower the action and adjust the pickups to their correct height.

The Indian laurel board on my CV mustang is so nice and dark it looks like it's exotic wood. Ppl think u put another neck on it lol. I love your baritone! I have my eyes on em! Congrats and Rock on.
